A slurry pump moves a mixture of solid particles and liquid, used in industries like mining, dredging, and wastewater treatment. The flow rate, or how much slurry it moves, is key to its performance.
The flow rate varies based on pump size and design. Smaller pumps can have a flow rate of 10 to 50 cubic meters per hour (m³/h). Larger pumps can have flow rates of 2,000 to 3,000 m³/h or more.
The type of slurry also affects the flow rate. High concentrations of solid particles or large, abrasive particles can lower the flow rate. Viscosity also plays a role, with more viscous slurries flowing more slowly.
Pressure impacts flow rate; higher pressure can decrease the flow rate.
