Mining Pumps and Pumping Equipment | Weir

Invented in 1938 by Charles Warman who worked in the largest gold mine in Kalgoorlie, Australia, our horizontal centrifugal pumps have been used successfully within a diverse range of mining, chemical and industrial applications. We manufacture and supply a wide range of pumps to handle various applications including dense mineral slurries, froth and other aggressive wear applications. These heavy-duty pumps offer high performance pumping, extended wear life, reduced maintenance and outstanding availability. Whether you need a horizontal slurry pump for a mill-circuit, process, high-pressure, froth, tailings, gravel, dredge or FGD application, we can provide the perfect Warman® pump solution to suit.

    Warman® Mill Circuit Pumps (MCR®, MCR®-M, MCU®)

Able to process large particles in highly abrasive slurries, Warman® mill circuit (MC) pumps are specifically designed for severe mill circuit duties and aggressive slurry applications (Service Class 3 & 4). These types of horizontal centrifugal slurry pumps are renowned for their performance with ball and SAG mill discharge and cyclone feed applications in mineral processing plants. They are undoubtedly the best available technology for mill circuit applications.

    Warman® WBH® Heavy-duty Process Pumps

The next generation of our Warman® AH® pumps, Warman® WBH® heavy-duty slurry pumps optimise all aspects of wear and performance while delivering a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). These centrifugal process pumps are typically used in heavy-duty applications such as mill discharge, slurry transfer and process pumping and are suitable for both greenfield and brownfield installations (Service Class 1-4). With your general slurry process pumping requirements front of mind, the Warman® WBH® slurry pump range offers numerous design enhancements based on the latest slurry pumping technology to help ensure productivity demands are met.

Warman® Horizontal Froth Pumps (AHF, LF and MF)

Based on the Warman® AH® series of heavy-duty slurry pumps, the Warman® AHF range of horizontal pumps is specifically designed for pumping froth with fine particles. These pumps are able to handle heavy froth and viscous concentrated non-Newtonian slurries with ease. They have a unique impeller with oversized inducer blades on each vane and a large eye, making the entrained air bubbles dissipate or reduce in size so that they do not inhibit the flow of the slurry. For mineral froths with high froth volume factor, we offer a patented Continuous Air Removal System (CARS) technology upgrade, which has repeatedly demonstrated success in improving froth pumping performance stability in many installations around the world.
