ASP Type 9 Seals

The ASP Type 9 seal came from a simple idea. The Type 8 is a workhorse, let's remove the o-rings and replace them with a PTFE wedge to make it chemically compatiable. Since it's introduction it has been a steady solution for pumps that move chemicals.

Type 9 Replacement Seals

Our ASP Type 9's are durable seals made to perform in most types of rotary shaft equipment. Their design features a reliable PTFE wedge secondary seal ideal for a wide range of services from chemical to food, hydrocarbons to acids, etc. These seals have a set screw to provide a positive connection between seal and shaft. Unitized by a snap ring, the seals are can be disassembled and repaired on site. The ASP type 9 seals meet ASTM F1511 and for most applications are a direct replacement to original equipment seals.
