Landia’s chopper pumps are a series of pumps designed to pump liquids with impurities and liquids with a high dry matter content.
The pumps are designed with a knife system located at the pump inlet. This ensures that the operation runs smoothly even in conditions where many other pumps will typically have problems with clogging.
In the fish industry, chopper pumps can be used for:
1. Silage and chopping
2. Pump tasks:
If the pump is to be used in operation with aggressive liquids, we can supply it in solid, stainless steel.

Landia produces and delivers customized pumping solutions for handling dead fish and by-products from the fish industry.
With Landia’s blockage-free pumps, you avoid cleaning clogged pumps on the factory deck. This also applies where, for example, fish remains end up in the bilge well.
Landia’s pumps are blockage-free and are used, among other things, for pumping sludge, floor water, wastewater and groundwater and more.
Equipped with this new system, the trawler will be able to produce large amounts of fish silage.
Landia has supplied chopper pumps and a mixer for a new, integrated Faroe Islands factory trawler.
In the summer of 2019 Landia has supplied a silage plant for the silage of by-products from slaughterhouses as well as fish that die before the slaughter at Atlantic Sapphire commercial onshore pilot plant for Atlantic Salmon farming in Hvide Sande.
Scottish waste authority recently installed a pasteurization system to enable it to accept salmon waste - and meet the UK’s Animal By-Product regulations.
Landia BioChop provides increased fish silage biosecurity in Faroe Islands. Following a series of successful installations, Landia is providing its fourth BioChop unit to Faroe Islands-based P/F Luna.
Landia silage tank ensures efficient shredding and circulation.
There are many sources of waste food, and ways to recycle food waste, but one of the most unusual must be to recycle fish morts by anaerobic digestion.
With local technical back-up at hand, the aquaculture industry is now more focused than ever before on biosecurity and the increasing value of by-products.
The Isle of Lewis has seen salmon waste success with the development of a new pasteuriser by Landia.
Scottish farm's pasteurization process powers national grid.
You will not find anyone who has more experience with pumping and mixing solutions for biogas plants than Landia. We have been involved since the biogas industry’s infancy in Denmark, and today you will find Landia products in biogas plants worldwide.
The biogas industry is growing year by year and we are keeping pace.
When you contact Landia, you will speak with employees who know the industry, including some who have worked in biogas plants themselves.
