Can anyone help me with a part #? Tried realoem it shows The part but it's grayed out. 2011 328xi pump part #11517586925 connector is straight 4 pins in a row. Thanks
The part that is labeled #6? I don’t know, but bumping it for you and attaching a picture. Maybe someone can tell you the name of the part.
Isn't the tail end of the BSD portion of the engine wiring harness? It may have a separate part number?
Attached is a ScreenPrint of ISTA "Connector View" for the Pump Connector, X6035. There is a number, which I believe is Last-7 of 11-digit BMW part#. While RealOEM "sometimes" shows a part when only last-7 digits are entered, it does NOT do so for this number. I would suggest calling nearest BMW Dealer, Parts Department, and seeing if they can solve the puzzle of part# (entire 11-digit number). There ARE repair kits for certain connectors. You do NOT say what is broken/ in need of repair. Metal sockets and wires can be replaced in a plastic connector. If the Plastic connector which holds the sockets is broken and CANNOT be repaired with epoxy or super glue, then you MAY have to get a replacement connector from junk yard. ECS Tuning appears to have SOME Electrical Connectors and knowledge of same. You might call/ email them. I have NOT discovered the "Secret" to RealOEM.com search for Electrical Connectors. IF you get ANY clues on HOW to find a replacement connector, or REPAIR an existing connector, please share your knowledge. George
The grayed-out connector in your pic [5] is for the thermostat. That t-stat P/N is: 12527507529, Socket housing The grayed-out P/N for the water pump connector housing [6] is: 12521438159, Receptacle housing If you need the actual pins for the connectors, look either of those P/N up on Realoem.com. Usually ECS has pics of the BMW part numbers if Realoem doesn't.
Hi "F30", **Questions:** 1) HOW did you find that part#? "12 Engine Electrical System" in RealOEM.com does NOT have any "Subgroup" higher than "12 35 Control Unit Box", for my 3/2007 build 328xi E91. 2) According to both RealOEM.com & ECS, that 12521438159 part# is for European vehicles except US 325xi. Do you have any suggestions on HOW to use RealOEM.com or ECS (or anything else) to find correct part# for 2007 & Later US vehicles? 3) If I'm missing something, please "educate me". George
Hi George. Back in 2011 when I replaced my thermostat, I preemptively bought the connector housing and the pins (an even the little gaskets) in anticipation of the connector breaking when I removed it. So, when I saw this post I jumped in. I just used my VIN and the P/Ns can be found under "> Engine > Engine cooling> waterpump - thermostat". For the WP connector housing I did not drill down into specific usage by model (I did drill down on the t-stat connector housing and it shows 2011 328xi). I do see now that 12521438159 shows to be for the Euro diesel 335d AGR system. Yet the WP P/N 11517586925 is used for the N52 in both the 2006 325i (my car) and the 2011 328xi (the OP's car). Why the electrical connector housing shows up grayed out is probably an error on the BMW TIS (?). It is the same pump so it should use the same connector at the pump. The connector housing for the N52 WP may be used on the Euro diesel for the AGR unit.
