How to Install

To install the ProSeries S2033-DFC2 sump pump, begin by selecting an appropriate sump basin with a minimum diameter of 18 inches and a depth of at least 22 inches. Place the pump inside the basin, ensuring it sits on a stable, level surface. Attach a 1.5-inch PVC discharge pipe to the pump’s outlet, running it vertically to carry water out of the basement or crawl space. Secure the included dual float switch and controller, positioning the float switch properly to ensure it activates the pump at the desired water level. Once all plumbing connections are tight, plug the pump into a dedicated power outlet. The DFC2 controller should also be set up according to instructions, allowing the system to monitor pump activity, provide runtime adjustments, and send alerts as needed. After installation, test the system by adding water to the basin to confirm that the pump and float switch operate correctly.
