Basic structure of slurry pump

    Pump body of slurry pump

    The slurry pump adopts the double pump shell structure, which is composed of the pump body and the pump cover. The impeller, the sheath, the front guard board and the rear guard board form the inner pump shell structure. There are three kinds of manufacturing materials for the outer pump shell structure of slurry pump: gray iron, nodular iron and cast steel. The inner pump shell structure is also known as the overflow part of water pump. There are three kinds of manufacturing materials, namely KmTBCr26, cr15mo3 and rubber.

    The inner pump shell structure of the slurry pump is the overflow part. The slurry body contains solid particles. The overflow part is made of high chromium alloy, which is wear-resistant. KmTBCr26 has fine grain, good wear resistance and high cost performance. At present, 70% of the overflow parts of slurry pump are made of this material. Although the flow passage parts made of cr15mo3 material have higher wear resistance and hardness, and their service life can reach 1.5 times of KmTBCr26, their cost is higher than 2 times of KmTBCr26, so their cost performance ratio is lower and their service range is smaller. Rubber has better corrosion resistance in three kinds of materials. When the solid particles in the medium are smooth, without sharp angle and the head of slurry pump is less than 40 meters, it is suitable to select the flow passage parts made of rubber.

    Shaft seal of slurry pump

    The shaft seal of slurry pump is divided into packing seal, auxiliary impeller seal and mechanical seal.

    Packing seal of slurry pump

    The packing seal of the slurry pump depends on the soft and hard running in between the packing and the shaft sleeve to achieve the sealing effect. The packing seal needs to add the shaft seal water, and the pressure of the shaft seal water must exceed the outlet pressure of the slurry pump by 1.5kg, which is widely used in the concentrator and the coal washery.

    Seal of auxiliary impeller of slurry pump

    The seal of the auxiliary impeller of the slurry pump uses the pressure seal generated by the impeller and the auxiliary impeller in series, and the packing or lip seal ring is used as the stop seal. It is required that the backflow pressure of the slurry pump shall not exceed 15% of the outlet pressure of the slurry pump. When the water resource of the user is scarce, this seal method is adopted.

    Mechanical seal of slurry pump

    The mechanical seal of slurry pump plays a sealing effect by the close friction of the dynamic and static rings of the mechanical seal. The mechanical seal is divided into three types: the mechanical seal without water injection, the mechanical seal with water injection external flushing and the mechanical seal with water injection internal flushing. The mechanical seal without water injection does not need to add shaft seal water, with a service life of about 4000 hours; the mechanical seal with water injection external flushing needs to add shaft seal water, with a shaft seal water pressure of 1.5kg, with a service life of about 6000 hours; the mechanical seal with water injection internal flushing needs to add shaft seal water, with a shaft seal water pressure of 1.5kg higher than the outlet pressure of slurry pump, with a service life of about 8000 hours.

    Driving part of slurry pump

    The driving part of slurry pump consists of pump shaft, bearing and bearing box. In the bearing lubrication, we can use dry oil lubrication and thin oil lubrication. Generally speaking, in the case of high temperature or large scale of slurry pump, we need to use thin oil lubrication and add forced cooling water.
