The sump pump type SV(R) is a vertical, centrifugal slurry pump. It is suitable for delivering abrasive or corrosive slurry and the pump is always immersed in a sump or pit to operate. The sum p pu mp is div id ed in to typ e SV an d SVR, bu t th ey ha ve the same co ns tru ct ion. Th e wet-end parts and shaft for type SV are made of metal material for delivering abrasive slurry and for type SVR are lined with corrosive-resistant rubber for delivering corrosive slurry. Th e sum p pu mp typ e SV is a ver ti ca l, ce nt rif ug al slu rr y pu mp. Th e pu mp ca sin g,impeller and frame plate liner insert are made of wear-resistant material. The sump pump has a simple construction and can be installed easily. The pump casing is fixed on the frame with bolts and the bearing body is installed on the top end of the frame. The double rows taper roller bearing near pump and the single row cylindrical roller bearing drive end may bear the max. They may be directly driven or by vee belt. The belt pulley may be easily replaced for adju sting the pum p spee d to mee t the dut y var iatio n of perf orm anc e var iati ons after the pump has being worn. There are split mounting plates on the frame. The mounting plates may be easily mounted on the steel frame base or concrete base. It has the advantages of easy installation and convenient operation. Pump can be immersed in the slurry pump for work.The inlet of pump is equipped with lower strainer so as to prevent the large particles from entering the pump.The construction of the type SVR is as same as type SV pump perfectly, but for type SVR pump the out side of par ts imme rse d in the slur ry is line d with corro sive-re sist ant rub ber. The se parts with rubber liners are pump casing, impeller and wear plates. The connecting bolts immersed in the liquid are lined with rubber protecting bush. The driving end of type SVR is as same as type SV pump.
3.1 Bearin g A ssembly When assembly, the bearing assemblies must be preheated and the temperature must not be mor e tha n 120 C. Dou ble rows, taper ed, roller bearing are adopte d for the low er bea rin g an d th eir co ne, cu p an d po sit ion sle ev e is ass emb led in set, wh ich ca n no t be interchangeable with corresponding parts of the same kind of bearings. When the lower end cover of bearing is assembled, it must be noted that the surface of lip seal in recess of lower end cover should be outward at the direction of diameter. Because axial clearance has been ensured by bearings themselves, the clearance of the bearing assembly of the sump pump should not be adjusted in the assembly. But after assembly, it is suggested that the end face clearan ce in installation sho uld be check ed according to the follow ing values i n Tab le1.

3.2 Installation of Support, Mounting Plates and Pump Casing The bearing assemb ly and suppo rt are conne cted by bolt s. The spli t mou ntin g plat es ar e assembled around the circle of support and fixed on support with studs. Then assemble the back liner, impeller and pump casing. When assembling, it must be noted that the relative po sit io n am on g be ar in g bo dy, su pp or t, mo un ti ng pl at es an d pu mp ca si ng mu st be corresponding to the following figure to ensure the relative position of discharge pipe and oil nozzle.
