Submerisble hot tub drain pump also drains water from other standing water locations and is a great household sump pump for quick removal of water. This submersible pump comes complete with 10 foot long power cord and is rated at 1200 GPH (gallons per hour) or 20 GPM. So a 200 gallon hot tub takes 10 minutes to drain and a 400 gallon hot tub takes 20! Much faster than gravity drains. Some hot tubs do not even have drains or hose bibs at all in which case having a submersible pump is a necessity. Horsepower rating is 1/6HP, this hydroponic pump is specifically designed to be fully immersed in water and removes standing water within 1/8 of an inch from the surface. Housing is cast aluminum. Dimensions 9" x 9"x 7 1/2". This sump pump operates at 120 volts.
