I wanted to see how much single-target DPS the Colette Wave Cooker could put out on its own, and this is the build to do it. It requires a small combo with the Corrosive Sludge Pump to activate the Wave Cooker's Tier 5 A mod, Contagion Transmitter. Simply slop 'em with some sludge then turn on Power Supply Overdrive and cook them to perfection. Just like Uncle's famous BBQ. The DPS is good while it lasts, but if you find yourself battling the overheat mechanic of the Wave Cooker, then you should try this combo build for the wave cooker instead.
Improved Spooling Mechanism makes the Sludge Pump a joy to use. It turns the otherwise tedious charge-shot mechanic into a very quick attack that annihilates packs of bugs.
The CSP overclock is pretty flexible here. AG Mixure, Disperser Compound, or Hydrogen Ion Additive all work pretty well with this build.
The proper way to use the sludge pump is to charge it up and aim at the bugs in the front of the pack. They will take the AoE splash, and the puddle will form right in front of them and they will immediately walk into it and start taking damage from it.
