The International Poultry Council is the unified voice of the global poultry sector.
Our openness and transparency are grounded in the expertise of those working within our industry. Their knowledge, experience, and commitment to high performance are the vehicle driving poultry production forward, step by step.
IPC aims to take the contributions that define our sector and share in them in global forums, advocating for poultry’s role in our wider food system.
Poultry is in a unique position to demonstrate leadership within our global food system. In our ability to produce safe, affordable, and nutritious food at scale, we offer real solutions to pressing challenges.
We have an opportunity and, more importantly, a responsibility, to communicate the social, economic, and cultural value of the poultry sector in international settings.
We bring together poultry stakeholders from across the globe to build relationships and gain a better understanding of shared challenges.
We represent the whole value chain from breed to meat, from genetics to production and processing all the way to consumption.
We create a pre-competitive agenda that leverages the strengths and resources of national organizations.
We speak as a unified and harmonized voice of the poultry sector.
IPC works with international organizations to advocate for our members in order to agree and establish standards for the poultry industry. Our key partners include the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
IPC members gather virtually and in person to drive the IPC agenda forward on key pre-competitive topics including animal health and welfare, trade, sustainability, food safety and communications.
Our Annual Meeting brings together poultry leaders and stakeholders for a week of networking, knowledge sharing and key updates. We rotate regions each year to ensure the best representation of our membership.
IPC is uniquely positioned to provide a holistic view of the global sector.
IPC is a member-driven organization comprised of national sector associations, poultry businesses and other key industry stakeholders. IPC members represent more than 75% of the world poultry meat production and 90% of the global poultry meat trade.
IPC plays a proactive role in promoting science-based solutions and information-sharing for poultry producers and regulatory authorities worldwide on issues affecting the supply chain.
