The Nissan K15, K21, and K25 engines all use a water pump to circulate coolant through the engine to regulate its temperature. The water pump is responsible for pushing the coolant from the radiator into the engine block via the thermostat.
To replace the water pump on these engines, you will need to drain the coolant from the system, remove the drive belt, and then unbolt the water pump from the engine block. Once you've removed the old water pump, you should inspect the gasket and replace it if necessary before installing the new water pump. Finally, refill the coolant and start the engine to ensure proper circulation.
