The custom – designed Steel Cable Dredge, using advanced hydrodynamic tech, is a powerful and versatile dredging gear for river and sea desilting. With a submersible slurry pump as its core, it can extract underwater sand or sediment and transfer it to the target place. It offers various configurations.
Equipped with high – quality DMS/DMZ/DMD series submersible pumps, an efficient agitation system, and a high – pressure water jet system, OCEAN Pump’s Cable Dredge guarantees high performance, reliability, and great adaptability. It’s widely used in dock maintenance, sedimentation pond work, mine pool operations, and dam dredging.

OCEAN Pump offers meticulous and customized pontoon design for the Cable Dredge. Considering different working conditions, the platform’s dimensions and configurations are tailored to ensure robustness, reliability, and flexible operation, achieving optimal performance and adaptability.
The dedicated submersible slurry pump for the Cable Dredge comes in two materials, high – chrome alloy and stainless steel, to meet different worksite requirements.
It has excellent wear resistance and a spacious flow passage. It can handle dredging slurry, sand, large solid particles, coal slurry, and coarse sand easily.
To ensure long – term stable operation under harsh conditions, the submersible slurry pump is equipped with a triple protection mechanism: flexible sensor overheating protection, water ingress inspection protection, and oil chamber protection.
Customers can choose to add 2 – 3 additional agitators or high – pressure water jet systems to the submersible slurry pump to improve work efficiency.

The production floating platform is crucial for the stable operation of the Cable Dredge. OCEAN Pump offers customized sizing solutions. The dredge features a detachable two – part structure composed of side float boxes and a gantry. Top doors are installed on the side float boxes for convenient operations, and cabins and canopies can be configured according to needs. The gantry of the dredge is made of high – strength and high – quality steel, and its installation position and height are carefully planned to ensure load – bearing capacity and the balance of the vessel.
The sand extraction system integrates a submersible dredge pump and a generator set. A variety of submersible slurry pumps are available, equipped with professional submersible motors, frequency control cabinets, and protection circuits. The lifting system controls the position of the submersible dredge pump through a winch driven by a motor to obtain an appropriate extraction concentration.
The water jet system and the agitation/cutter system are optional configurations. The water jet system uses a high – pressure water jet pump to mix the slurry. Customers can choose the pump type according to their needs, and the pressure needs to be precisely set based on sand – extraction parameters. The agitation/cutter system adds 2 – 3 agitators/cutters to increase the extraction concentration to 60%, with various power options available and a close connection to the main pump.
The pipeline system consists of HDPE pipes and floaters to keep the pipeline afloat and provides solutions for long – distance sand transportation. The control system can be optionally equipped with advanced PLC and HMI to monitor and control various parameters and issue alarms. The movement system, composed of a propeller and a diesel engine, is easy to operate and supports the movement and steering of the vessel.
