Disposable tanks.

    Tazz

Got an email from Innokin today with a new release tank, the Go Max dispoasble. Searches elsewhere showed not a lot but one US site had them listed at just $1 US which looked like pre order, thats just $1.50 ish Aus. That's 1/3 of the price of most coils! Even if they were $2, $2.50 its still cheaper than most singles. I hate plastic waste but this will surely lure many into buying them over just a single coil for a tank.

If nothing else they might be really useful for those with dodgy hands who struggle to change coils.

Similar to the vzone but at least this has slide top unlike the rubber bung on vzone.

Hope they can be recycled! Be useful if you like vaping a lot of strong flavours.

No offence but it's complete bollocks imho.... 29mm diameter - what mod/pen stick 510 battery is the bastid going on ffs ??? edit - my bad, the 29mm is obviously the widest bit on bubble, base is probably 24mm or maybe 22mm 5.5ml capacity - well that rules out TPD 2ml limit 0.19 Ohm or 50~60w coil - who is this tank coil aimed at totally fucked for recycling sealed metal/plastic combo unit (land fill) (well that's the tree hugger market gone) drip tip - stuck with it, but as it's fixed is not a lift/remove & slide like Zlide funny Innokin proclaimed the lift Zlide drip tip was a safety/child proof feature blah x 3 guess sod the kiddy safe option and guzzle down 5.5ml instead of 2ml about as practical & safe for kids as the Knife-Wrench.... KNIFE WRENCH....... naaahh think somebody at Innokin was bored and thought let's reinvent wheel whilst they are as high as kite Why not made a $3 dollar plastic tank that you can change the coil ??? more useful, easy to recycle coil/tank separated blah x 6 The problem with plastic - the material is simply too fucking cheap so cheap it is not worth recycling, it is so cheap it is not worth recycling as is (all them recycling places get grants & funding to pay for their running costs money in nicking scrap metal but black market scrap ABS plastic is a non-starter) and problem is that it is a throw away world, with recycling plastic = no real profit in it So Innokin are chucking out more shit at cost to knock out competition of similar cheap china disposable tanks (funny - never thought Innokin were really under threat from disposable cheapo tanks) But this will just create a bad irresponsible not so green name for Innokin imho

Hmm, some pluses I never thought of. If they lasted like they say, and were a recyclable product, easy to use and as cheap as they at this moment look then, yeah, they could be a pretty good thing. Would feel weird buying them, never having to change out a coil, clean a tank. I know its not a new idea but if they really are that cheap then I'd have to really question myself as to why I would want to spend more on a single coil, clean the tanks, check the seals etc other than just stay the same course for purely asthetic reasons! Be interesting to see the actual price when properly released.

    So....you dont like the idea?

I think it is an unwise idea or innovation especially now as the world has gone ultra environment mad I can see this being hit with a ban or a big green tax 5 years ago it would have been a winner - the amount of e-stick tanks thrown away each week but think Innokin have missed the boat on this invention if they had made a $3 or $5 plastic tank, with a replacement drop-in z coil - choice of 4 types then yeah it would have been a wise move, but as a throw away plastic/metal tank unit - not the brightest of innovations today maybe cheapy plastic tank for under 5 bucks, not for very strong flavours perhaps get say 6 months out of it or so before seal goes on coil/base/chimney or something then yeah 5 bucks isn't too bad & recycle the tank I'm not a fucking tree hugger, but feel this is not an incredibly wise innovation as the world has gone ultra mad on environment in the last year or so - it ain't gonna go down too well in the green community Even the pricing is bollocks - no way would would they knock these out the same price, let alone less than their coils, manufacturing, shipping, packaging costs etc..... Naah this tank if it went on sale properly will be marketed at $5 min probably $7 which is bollocks, coz people will then say why can't I just change the $1:25 coil then than chuck the whole tank

The only similar thing I've seen is the Vzone Preco, which compares favorably with stock coils in terms of cost. This is cheaper if it lasts. Personally I'm skeptical about putting 60W through such a narrow coil... it would takes ages to cool down so I would expect the wick to burn out pretty quickly. Also, if they're going to make a TPD compliant version, presumably they'll just make the plastic thicker to reduce the capacity and that will increase the cost. I don't think we're going to get it for a dollar in the UK. As it's impossible to expand I'd only be interested in the 5.5ml, which means buying from overseas - something I try to avoid. I don't think recyclers will bother separating the metal from the plastic, they'll just send it to landfill so there's a bit of an issue there for the eco-conscious. I'll probably give it a go but it wouldn't be my all dayer... maybe a night out on a cheap little pocket mod.
