The Geek Bar Pulse is easily one of the best disposable vapes I have tested this year. The implementation of the screen and the two power modes is fantastic. The battery and juice indicators are accurate. The Pulse mode is incredibly intense, and both modes deliver amazing flavor and smooth airflow. An all-around complete package – highly recommended.

The Geek Bar Pulse is easily one of the most modern-looking disposables I’ve encountered. This is partially down to the incredible screen incorporated on the device’s front panel. However, Geek Bar has made other distinctive design choices that I’m pleased to see. The Pulse has a familiar box-style design but has perfectly rounded edges. This means it sits really comfortably in the palm of your hand. It’s also surprisingly compact for such a large capacity disposable, measuring only 52.6 x 27.7 x 82.6mm. The main body of the device is glossy-colored plastic, and it’s adorned with logos and branding. While I’m not typically a fan of such in-your-face designs, there’s just something about the Pulse that makes it work. It just feels very cohesive in its design. There’s a prominent Geek Bar Pulse branding on one side, which sits above a picture of a planet and the flavor profile. On the reverse side is another ‘GB’ symbol and some writing at the base that says, ‘May The Pulse Be With You.’ The mouthpiece of the disposable is nicely integrated into the body. It has the same base color within and an outer transparent covering. On the base of the Pulse, you will find the USB-C port for charging the 650mAh battery. Then there’s the power/mode switch. This switch enables you to completely switch off the device or put it in Regular or Pulse mode. The switch clicks into place nicely in each setting, and you can see what setting you are on by the action on the screen. When you switch it into regular mode, two airflow holes are visible on the switch itself. Then, when you go one step further into Pulse mode, there are 3 airflow holes. I love that Geek Bar has put some serious thought into keeping the operation of the device as simple as possible. The switch controls both the power and airflow. It’s no exaggeration to say this is the best display I’ve ever seen on a disposable. The screen covers the whole front side of the device and is organized into 3 sections. The top section is your battery meter. This has 5 green bars, a battery symbol, and your percentage as a number. As the battery depletes, the number goes down in 1% increments, and the colored bars slowly decrease. The center section of the display shows your mode. In regular mode, it’s just a circle. Then in Pulse mode, it’s a rocket (Spaceship) symbol. The last section is the juice meter. This is set out just like the power. It has a number, then the liquid symbols, and then 5 green bars. It also decreases in 1% increments. If that wasn’t enough, a surrounding LED light also goes all the way around the screen. This LED ring glows Red when you switch it into Pulse mode, and each time you take a puff. It glows Green in regular mode, and when you take a puff. Then, it gently glows Yellow when you switch the device off. There’s also a nice animation, as the other symbols fade out when you switch the device off. The display stays active for about 6-7 seconds after you take a vape. Then, it gently fades out, which is nice. Overall, I’m so impressed with the Geek Bar Pulse. Not just because they’ve managed to fit an impressive screen and large capacity in such a small disposable. The design approach is particularly noteworthy; it’s clear that considerable thought has gone into it. The use of the space theme is not just a mere aesthetic choice; they’ve embraced it fully, creating a cohesive and effective design.
Mexico Mango is a tropical escape so vivid I could almost feel the sand between my toes with each puff. It envelopes your senses with the mouthwatering flavor of ripe Mangoes right from the first inhale. It’s a genuinely authentic sweet, tangy mango essence, that follows you throughout the vape. There’s a slight hint of cooling that just gives it a more refreshing vibe. But it’s not overpowering, and the balance is perfect with the sweetness of the Mango. Easily an all-day vape. The California Cherry is another absolute treat. Each puff delivers the sweet, blissfully decadent taste of plump cherries handpicked in their peak season. I usually find Cherry flavors to taste too medicinal or artificial. This California Cherry is as authentic as they come. Even though it’s a simple one-flavored vape, there’s some real depth to it. The Cherry flavor is sweet but rounded, and incredibly moreish. It’s probably my favorite Cherry flavor to date, and easily an all-day vape.
I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that the Geek Bar Pulse 15000 is not just style over substance. Having tested so many disposable vapes this past year. I was apprehensive that the Pulse would just be a fun-looking disposable that didn’t really back it up with the performance – I was so wrong. The dual mesh coil is excellent, and can really deliver some punchy flavor. In regular mode, the draw is super smooth and powerful enough to deliver a vape comparable to any of the top disposables I’ve tested. The auto-draw trigger is instant, and the airflow sits on the medium MTL side. In Pulse mode, things get really interesting. There’s a definite up in power that’s felt as soon as you inhale. The draw is slightly more open to cope with that power, like a loose MTL. The flavor gets a little more intense in Pulse mode, but not so much that it’s overpowering. There’s inevitably more vapor production in Pulse mode, as you’d expect from more wattage and airflow. You’ll love this mode if you love a powerful, intense, and flavorful vape. For me, at 5% nicotine, it was a little too much. I felt the rush of nicotine after only a few puffs. If they had a 2% version, I’d happily puff along in Pulse mode most of the day. That said, the intense nicotine kick came in handy when I had a delayed flight last week. A sneaky trip to the bathroom and a couple of quick puffs, and I was more than satiated. However, most of my time testing the Pulse was spent in regular mode. This is the perfect setting for my needs, and honestly, it’s just as good on the flavor front. The Mexico Mango was as crisp and clean as any Mango flavor I’ve tried in a disposable. It has a touch of cooling, but thankfully not too much. The California Cherry impressed me even more. Maybe it’s because I’ve not found a cherry-flavored vape that I like or doesn’t taste medicinal. But this one was an all-day vape for me; it’s authentic tasting with just the right amount of sweetness. Also, it’s worth noting that the flavors and vape production did not diminish even when the device was down to its last percentages of juice or power. I tested the puff count in regular mode, and it got well beyond 12000 puffs before I lost count with my clicker. I didn’t want to kill myself by testing the puff count in Pulse mode. But it is a safe assumption that with that extra power, the puff count will be half as advertised (7500). I tested the battery capacity, charge rate, and recharge time. They come out to the following: Capacity = 630mAh, Charge Rate = 0.6A, Charge Time (0-100%) = 38 minutes. These are all respectable figures and accurate to Geek Bar’s claims. I’ll save my final words for the display of the Geek Bar Pulse 15000. It shouldn’t impress me as much as it does, as it’s just a screen on a disposable. But it just makes it a joy to use! All the information is super clear, and the screen is bright. More importantly, it seems to be incredibly accurate with its readings. I absolutely love the LED-colored ring, and fade-out animation when you switch the device off. I’m just glad that a disposable with this much tech to make it look and feel great to use, also delivers when it comes to performance.
The Geek Bar Pulse is an exceptional disposable vape device. Its impressive screen and adjustable power feature blow other disposable vapes away. The design is fun, unique, and compact. However, the most impressive thing about this well-designed disposable is its performance. If you want ‘blow your socks off’ power, it’s there for you in ‘Pulse’ mode. But in regular mode, this thing still shines and delivers excellent capacity along with fantastic flavor.
