As in our round-up of the best Elf Bar and ZYN flavors, we trawled through “best flavor” posts on Reddit, Facebook, and vape forums. After reading through hundreds of comments and counting up every time a Geek Bar flavor was mentioned (or voted) as a user’s favorite.
Here, listed in order of popularity, are the ten that appeared most often.
1. Meta Moon:35 votes
2. Dragon Melon:30 votes
3. Crazy Melon:27 votes
4. Cherry Bomb:26 votes
5. Miami Mint:26 votes
6. White Gummy Ice:24 votes
7. Sour Apple Ice:22 votes
8. Frozen Pina Colada:20 votes
9. Omg Blow Pop:16 votes
10. Blue Razz Ice:14 votes
Meta Moon, which is a mix of strawberry, watermelon, and papaya flavors, was easily the most mentioned flavor. When it wasn’t listed as a favorite, it often appeared as a second or third choice. The melon-based flavors switched position several times while counting the “votes”, with Dragon Melon (dragon fruit, pear, and sweet watermelon flavors) only slipping into second at the last moment. Menthol flavors seem less popular among Geek Bar users, with Miami Mint the only distinctly minty flavor making the top ten.
Just because discussion on social media suggests users prefer certain flavors over others, that doesn’t mean those same flavors are what most users are buying. To understand whether sales data matches social media opinion, we asked online vape retailer Mi-Pod to share their biggest sellers.
Note: Rather than attempting to cover all types of Geek Bar, we limited our request to two of the most popular, the Geek Bar Pulse and Pulse X.
1. Miami Mint
2. Watermelon Ice
3. Mexico Mango
4. Juicy Peach Ice
5. Fcuking FAB
6. Frozen Watermelon (Frozen Edition)
7. Sour Apple Ice
8. White Gummy Ice
9. Blueberry Watermelon
10. Meta Moon
Surprisingly, sales data (from Mi-Pod at least) disagrees considerably with social media users’ opinions of the best flavor. Miami Mint was also voted to a reasonably high position by users on Reddit, etc., but Watermelon Ice and Mexican Mango, the second and third best-selling flavors, didn’t even make the top 10.
1. Banana Taffy Freeze
2. Watermelon Ice
3. Orange Fcuking Fab
4. Strawberry B-Pop
5. Blue Razz Ice
6. Blue Rancher
7. Miami Mint
8. Blackberry B-Pop
9. Sour Fcuking Fab
10. Sour Apple Ice
Some flavors for the Pulse X are shared with the Pulse, so there’s some overlap with the best-selling flavors. Watermelon Ice came in at second for both the Pulse X and Pulse. Miami Mint and Sour Apple Ice are a bit farther down the list but still on the top 10 best selling flavors for the Pulse X.
Compared to the picks from social media, the best-sellers list for the Pulse X shares some similarities; Miami Mint, Sour Apple Ice, and Blue Razz Ice are all near the bottom-half of users’ picks, although not quite in the same order.
The Pulse and Pulse X are two of the newest and most popular disposables from the Geek Bar brand. While both are known and enjoyed for their sleek designs and ease of use, they differ in performance, capacity, and technology.
The Geek Bar Pulse was launched in late 2023 with a handful of fruit, menthol, and candy-inspired flavors. There are now well over 30 flavors, ranging from Sour Apple and Strawberry Banana to Frozen Pina Colada and Haunted Blueberry, spread across at least 6 different editions (Frozen, Sour, Zodiac, etc.)
The Geek Bar Pulse features a large screen that displays the mode, battery level, and e-liquid level. It also has a slider switch to change from standard to pulse mode, which utilizes its dual coils and tightens airflow to produce larger, denser clouds.
The Geek Bar Pulse X was launched in mid-2024 as an upgrade (but not a replacement) for the Pulse. It launched with 15 flavors, with several new ones added in the following months. New flavors include Banana Taffy Freeze, Orange Fcuking Fab, and Grapefruit Refresher. In almost every way, including battery capacity, e-liquid volume, and physical size, the Pulse X is larger than the Pulse.
The Pulse X is said (by Geek Bar) to be the first vape to have a 3D curved screen. It covers almost half of the entire device, but most of it is used for cosmetic details, with the battery and e-liquid readout in the same position as on the original Pulse. The Pulse X features a larger 820mAh battery and contains more e-liquid than the Pulse (18ml Vs. 16ml).
We were sent almost the entire range of flavors for the Geekbar Pulse and Pulse X, directly from Geekbar. The Pulse and Pulse X have long been some of our team members favorite disposable vapes and so we’ve used them all quite extensively.
To pick our favorite flavors, three of our team members, Adam, Danielle, and Robert gave each flavor for the Pulse and Pulse X a score. This score was from one to ten, with one being least liked and ten being most liked.
These are the five flavors which received the highest score for each device:
1. Watermelon Ice
2. Fcuking Fab
3. Mexico Mango
4. Meta Moon
5. Blue Razz Ice
1. Strawberry B-Pop
2. Sour Fcuking Fab
3. Watermelon Ice
4. Sour Mango Pineapple
5. Blue Razz Ice
Our picks had some overlap with the picks from social media, with Blue Razz ice, and Meta Moon also making our top picks.
When comparing our picks with the best-sellers from Mi-Pod, there’s (surprisingly) a lot more overlap. Watermelon Ice, Fcuking Fab, Mexico Mango, and Meta Moon also made our top picks for the Pulse. For the Pulse X, Strawberry B-Pop, Sour Fcuking Fab, Watermelon Ice, and Blue Razz Ice also made our top picks.
So what does all this data mean? Just from looking at social media picks, Mi-Pod’s best-sellers lists, and our top picks, it’s hard to pick clear winners. However, if we examine the data a bit more closely and methodically, we can determine the top 5 flavors.
To pick the top 5 best flavors for the Geekbar Pulse and Geekbar Pulse X, we gave each flavor an average ranking by using the social media picks, best sellers lists, and our top picks. These are the 5 flavors with the highest average ranking (closest to #1) for each device.
#1. Watermelon Ice
#2. Meta Moon
#3. Mexico Mango
#4. Fcuking Fab
#5. Sour Apple Ice
#1. Strawberry B-Pop
#2. Watermelon Ice
#3. Blue Razz Ice
#4. Sour Fcuking Fab
#5. Sour Mango Pineapple
The price of a Geek Bar Pulse varies slightly between retailers but can usually be picked up for between $13 and $16. Many online stores offer bundles of three flavors at a slightly reduced price. The newer Pulse X, with its improved screen, bigger battery, and more vape juice commonly retails for $17-$20. That higher price is further justified by the fact that the Pulse X can provide 10,000 more puffs than the Pulse.
How long your Geek Bar lasts will depend a lot on how heavily you vape and the vaping mode you choose to use. Geek Bar suggests a single Pulse device will last up to 15,000 puffs in standard mode and 7,500 puffs in pulse mode. The Pulse X is designed to last much longer: 25,000 in standard mode and 15,000 in pulse mode.
Battery life will also be heavily affected by the mode used. In standard mode, both the 650mAh in the Pulse and the 820mAh of the Pulse X should last a day. If you use pulse mode, battery life on both models will be far shorter.
Unlike some lower-cost disposables, the Geek Bar Pulse and Pulse X models feature a large digital display. This shows you the battery level (which can be recharged) and also indicates the amount of e-liquid remaining. This won’t be accurate down to the final puff, but makes it easy to see when a replacement is nearly due.
For Geek Bar models that don’t have a display, such as the Meloso or DF8000, you’ll have to rely on noticing a reduction of flavor and vapor to tell you the e-liquid is close to being used up.
While there are some zero-nicotine Geek Bars available, most contain nicotine. That means they are as “safe” as any other comparable-strength nicotine vape. Like almost all other modern high-quality disposable vapes, they also include overcharge protection and other user safety features.
Both the Pulse and Pulse X contain reasonably strong 50mg/ml e-liquid. Almost all Geek Bar disposables also use liquid of this strength, so if you prefer a weaker nicotine hit, you might have to look at another brand. It is possible to find Geek Bar vapes with 20mg/ml e-liquid, but usually only in countries outside the U.S. where TPD rules apply.
