Shatter is a hydrocarbon extraction that generally has a golden or amber hue. It gets its name from its glass-like appearance, and typically “shatters” when broken apart.
Sugar is a hydrocarbon extraction that yields a semi-crystalline product with the consistency of wet sugar. Sugar is made using a lower temperature and pressure than some other extractions to encourage crystallization of cannabinoids while maintaining the integrity of the terpenes.
Badder, named for its whipped or cake batter like consistency, is extracted in the same way as other hydrocarbon extractions. What gives it its consistency is the post-processing method of whipping the extract.
Crumble is extracted and processed similarly to cake badder, but is whipped for longer with heat until it reaches the crumbly consistency that gives it its name.
