The most obvious differences are the change in size with the Fogger V3 coming in at 23.7mm (V2 22mm), the addition of a windowed stainless steel tank protector, and a raised outer lip on the base which now covers the appearance of the black oring at the base of the glass tank portion.
The least obvious changes are those that can only be seen when taking the Fogger V3 apart, and these include: a threaded stainless steel inner top cover for the glass tank, which screws down on the chimney top (V2 was press fit), a slightly larger building deck, with taller positive and negative post, and unobstructed air flow through the four air holes on the base of the device.
While many users of the Fogger V2 experienced issues with constant flooding, and leaking, my biggest problem with the V2 was that the four air holes in the base are actually obstructed by a delrin insulator underneath the building deck, and therefore does not allow sufficient airflow into the device for adequate vapor production frustrating. I used a cotton build on the V2, which when built properly, prevented flooding/gurgling (provided that you fill it with airflow ring closed), it produced great flavor, and throat hit, yet the vapor production was dismal more frustrating.
This has been corrected in the lastest Fogger V3, and let me you tell it has made all the difference in the world, I am now fogging with the Fogger. This device is finally performing the way that a good RBA should. It is also interesting to note that while the Fogger V2 produced a sweeter vape, regardless of e liquid used, the Fogger V3 produces a true flavor from your e liquid, which is neither super sweet, nor muted.
My oh my, what a difference a new version can make! The Fogger V3 is definitely an improvement over the prior two versions. I am very happy, and satisfied with the looks, and performance of the Fogger V3, and would have no problem recommending this device to RBA lovers. If you are a collector of vape gear, this one should definitely have a place in your collection.
