    Causes of slurry pump parts wear

    The slurry pump usually has wear phenomenon in use. Here is how to deal with the wear of parts:

    1. The wear part of the slurry pump is mainly the meshing of the teeth, the involute working surface and the two end surfaces of the gear. When the gear tooth surface is severely worn, the new gear should be replaced. If only the two end surfaces of the gear are worn, it can be grinded and polished on the surface grinder.

    2. The wear of the shaft in the slurry pump is mainly due to the conflict between the two ends of the shaft and the supporting needle. If the shaft is severely worn, 45 steel or 40Cr steel shall be made from scratch. After rough and finish turning, the bearing part shall be heat treated with hardness of hrc60-65, and then ground to make the surface roughness Ra of the bearing cooperation part not greater than 0.32 μ m; the tolerance of roundness and cylindricity of the shaft is 0.005mm; the surface roughness Ra of the cooperation part with the gear shall not be greater than 0.63 μ m according to H7 / H6.

    3. The wear on the surface of the pump body is mainly the arc-shaped working surface in the oil suction section. If it shows slight wear, it can be used after deburring with oilstone. The pump body is made of cast iron, which should be replaced with new parts in case of severe wear.

    4. If the two ends of the internal gear of the pump are repaired by grinding, the width dimension of the pump body shall also be changed, which shall be the same as the dimension removed by grinding the two ends of the gear. The two ends of the pump body processed from the beginning shall reach the standard skill request.

    5. The end cover of slag slurry pump is made of cast iron. After the appearance of wear, the fine parts can be ground and smoothed on the flat plate. When the wear is severe, they should be ground and smoothed on the flat grinder. The plane touch of the joint of the end cover and the pump body after grinding shall not be less than 85%. The flatness tolerance, the straightness tolerance of the center line of the end face adjacent to the hole, the parallelism tolerance of the two end faces and the parallelism tolerance of the center line of the two shaft holes are all 0.01mm. After the parts in the pump are repaired, the bearing needle should be replaced.

    6. The request for needle roller is: the dimension error of all needle roller diameters should not exceed 0.003mm, the length tolerance is 0.1mm, and the cooperation gap with the shaft should be about 0.01mm; the needle roller should be installed according to the number of requests to fill the bearing shell, and the needle rollers should be placed in parallel with each other.
