The coolant pump PCE 2.0 is an electronically commuted centrifugal pump. The pump is characterized by its high efficiency, compact design, low weight and long service life. Thanks to its optimized noise behavior, the pump is also ideal for use in hybrid and electric vehicles. Its robust design allows it to be mounted on internal-combustion engines. The brushless drive and robust design support long operating times, which will be an essential requirement for use in hybrid and electric vehicles in the future. Its robust design allows it also to be mounted on internal-combustion engines.
with scalable performance range and corresponding temperature resistance
with high power density
service life enables use in hybrid and electric vehicles, e.g., for battery temperature control
suitable for engine mounting thanks to high vibration and temperature resistance (up to 140°C)
Thermal management for hybrid systems and electric drives
Thermal management for combustion engines
The second generation of the PCE coolant pump is an electric centrifugal pump the speed of which can be controlled and regulated via a PWM or LIN interface. It is equipped with a diagnostic function and is used to support the coolant flow. The pump is suitable for use both in continuous and intermittent operation. The electrical and hydraulic connections are adapted to the different customer requirements. The pump's robust design allows it to be mounted on internal-combustion engines.
The PCE 2.0 is a centrifugal pump in which the stator and electronics are mechanically separated from the rotor in the dry motor housing. The magnetic rotor functions as the pump wheel and is situated in the hydraulic circuit. Two sealing rings protect the motor section against external moisture. The coolant pump communicates with a higher-level electronic control unit and adapts the coolant delivery rate to the relevant cooling situation by adjusting the speed accordingly.
The brushless electric coolant pump PCE 2.0 features a modular design and is available in four electrical power ratings of 40, 60, 80, and 100 W to satisfy the diverse requirements of coolant circuits.
