Conventional irrigation systems are primarily powered by diesel engines or the power grid. The water pump of the solar irrigation system, however, is equipped with solar panels. They convert solar energy into electricity and power the electric water pump.
A solar irrigation system consists of solar cell arrays, inverters and water pumps, eliminating the need for energy storage devices such as batteries, directly driving the water pump to solar energy. The emergence of solar-powered irrigation systems has solved the problem of irrigation in areas without electricity, such as deserts, mountains and some remote countryside.
• The solar water pump system operates fully automatically without manual duty. It works with high performance, greatly reducing the construction and maintenance costs of the system.
• Adopts MPPT solar pumping inverters to adjust the speed of water pumps according to the change of the sunlight intensity, so that the output power is close to the high power of the solar cell array. when the sunlight is sufficient, the speed of the pump does not exceed the rated speed; while with insufficient sunlight, it will automatically stop running.
• The solar submersible water pump is driven by a DC motor, pumping water from deep wells, lakes, and ditches. The water can either be stored in a tank/reservoir or directly connected to the irrigation system.
Depending on the actual farm conditions and your specific system requirements, a solar irrigation system can use different types of water pumps and solar panel arrays. The system power ranges from 0.37kW to 55kW.
