The dredge pump gearboxes by Wikov are designated for the Easydredge 3700 vessel by Royal IHC, specifically they Easydredge Mahaa Jarraafu. This vessel is the largest in the Easydredge series of standard twin-screw trailing suction hopper dredgers, designed and built by Royal IHC. The Mahaa Jarraafu has an overall length of 92.95 meters and a hopper capacity of 3.700 m³ per load. With the design dredging depth of 50 meters, the newbuild will revolutionize dredging industry in the Maldives. The dredger will be used for land reclamation, infrastructure and beach nourishment projects on several islands and resorts in Asia.
The Easydredge 3700 is, like all ships in the series, equipped with the specially designed Easydredge® dredging equipment, including a state-of-the-art IHC dredge pump and a slender hull for increased speed and low fuel consumption. The Wikov's dredge pump gearbox has a nominal power of 1.250 kW and weight of 4.653 kg.
