Sewage Suction Pump Working theory

After the pump is stopped, enough liquid shall be stored in the pump body. Therefore, a one-way valve shall be equipped at the inlet of the pump body, and the inlet of the pump body shall be higher than the center line of the impeller, so as to prevent the liquid in the pump body from being discharged into the suction tank due to the siphon effect after the pump is stopped.

For effective gas-liquid separation, a gas-liquid separation chamber with enough volume is required, and the outlet of the pump body is high enough to the center line of the impeller.

The separated liquid continuously returns to the impeller. Therefore, for the internal mixing self-priming pump, there should be a return hole, and for the external mixing self-priming pump, there should be a large enough flow channel to make the separated liquid return to the impeller.
