The Dino-6 is a small dredge used to remove accumulated sludge and sediment from a body of water. A uniquely portable hydraulic dredge and the most affordable small diesel dredge in its class, Dino-6 is a small barge boat equipped with a 6-inch submersible pump and 66-inch wide cutter head. More durable than machines weighing and costing twice as much, Dino-6 was developed to perform jobs inaccessible to larger equipment. Weighing approximately 4,000 pounds, Dino-6 can access restrictive places that excavators and large hydraulic dredges cannot get into. Dino-6 is represented by BBLM in the Philippines.
The Dino-6 sediment removal system is comprised of a small dredge manufactured domestically in the US. The Dino-6 measures just over 22′long and 6' wide and is less than 6′tall. With a wet weight around 4,000 pounds, it is a very lightweight portable dredge, with a low cost of mobilization, and a small environmental footprint.
Mobilization costs are a fraction of a typical six inch dredge. The launching and loading are more like a boat than a conventional dredge or excavator. There is no damage to the shoreline or tracks to be repaired. The Dino-6 is similar to a small pontoon boat. It relies on 2 stainless steel pontoons that are compartmentalized into 3 independent sections and offer a 2 to 1 displacement factor for flotation.
Our lightweight and portable dredge is powered by a 4 cylinder Cummins diesel engine that’s rated at 65 horsepower. With an efficient engine that consumes just 3 GPH of fuel during pumping operations, and a 30 gallon fuel tank, this dredge is good for hours upon hours of work.
The system is simple and easy to operate. It excavates sediment with a durable, high-torque, direct-drive cutter head and pumps at rates up to 1500gpm through the highly abrasion-resistant, hydraulic submersible dredge pump. The 6″ submersible pump installed on this machine is manufactured in-house and is able to pass softball-sized debris without damage or clogging.
For medium-sized waterway dredge solutions that large dredges cannot fit into and operate.
