Koshin was founded in Kyoto, Japan, in 1948, and the American division of the company was founded in 1984. The American headquarters are in Illinois. The company makes pumps that have been used in over 160 countries throughout the world, and the company’s very first pump was a barrel pump that was so effective that the company still makes that very same pump today.
The barrel pump was just the first in a long line of diverse Koshin pumps. Now, the company makes a Koshin trash pump, a Koshin water pump, a diaphragm pump, a submersible trash pump, a high-pressure pump, and a semi-trash pump to name just a few of the options. Most of these Koshin pumps come in a variety of different sizes and models so that it is easy to find what you need.
Choosing a Koshin pump means that you are choosing a high-quality pump made by a manufacturer with a lot of experience in the pumping industry. These pumps feature high-quality materials such as cast aluminum, cast iron, and stainless steel. They often have quality mechanical seals so you don’t have to worry about leaks. In many cases, they are built so that you can prime them quickly, and they typically have built-in alert systems. For instance, some Koshin trash pumps alert you when the oil in the pump is low.
It’s important to note that all of these details can vary between different types of pumps. When ordering a pump, make sure to look closely at the product information and specifications. On top of the advantages listed above, some Koshin pumps also come with special tools that make it easier to service the pumps, and some pumps come with built-in trailers that make it easier to move the pump.
Sadly, many manufacturers don’t sell replacement parts. They don’t want you to be able to repair their items because they prefer that you just buy a new one. Koshin doesn’t embrace this ideology of “throw-away” culture.
To ensure that your Koshin pump lasts as long as possible, the company also sells a range of different pump parts. You can buy Koshin strainers, discharge hoses, suction hoses, and a multitude of other parts. That makes it possible to repair your pump as needed, and in the long run, that helps you to save money.
