The Honda engine is very quiet, offering nearly twice the fuel economy of the 2-cycle engines, and it eliminates the need to mix gas and oil. Proline’s HP100 pump is manufactured with the same quality and features found on our larger pumps, such as the “flusher port,” which supplies water pressure to run a flusher nozzle for cleaning crevices. The Proline was the first 2″ gold dredge with this feature. Due to recent changes in the pump and jetting system on this dredge, the suction power has dramatically increased. This increase in power led to a new classifier with a riffle system that produces a more effective low pressure vortex behind the riffles themselves, improving fine gold recovery. Proline’s unique one-piece classifier/riffle system simply unlatches and lifts out of the sluice box, which makes for fast and easy cleanups. We still use “Nomad” matting for the entire length of the sluice box.
The pontoons are actually used as part of the frame, eliminating the need for a heavier conventional frame. A rod is supplied for clearing rock jams that occur at the power jet, and actually stays on the dredge when not in use. Through these improvements we were able to shed a few pounds, while making the gold dredge stronger. We suggest that you compare our features and quality with every other small gold dredge on the market. No other 2″ gold dredge compares.
Before its arrival most 3″ gold dredges were essentially the same size as their 4″counterparts because they used the same pontoons, frame, pump, etc. This gold dredge was designed to be smaller and lighter than our 4″ gold dredge, without sacrificing strength or stability. It sits on its own frame with pontoons that were matched to its size and weight. Another unique feature of this gold dredge is the pump. To this day, the HP300 is the only pump on the market designed specifically for 3″ gold dredges. There is no reason to pay for a big, heavy pump, when the idea is to keep the size and weight down in the first place.
This is the smallest dredge that Proline offers with our well known “sure-flow” hose coupler system. This tried and true design essentially eliminates all surface rock jams, while making it far easier to attach the dredge hose to the power jet.
In a time when some companies are now building flimsy, unstable dredges to cut manufacturing costs, and calling their creations “mini” this or “ultra” that, Proline continues to build a true 3″ dredge to provide years of trouble-free service with unmatched performance.
This model is equipped with pontoons that have increased stability over previous models, while remaining compact and lightweight. The frame remains essentially the same as previous models. It’s a sturdy bolt together design which allows the dredge to be disassembled into smaller components for ease of transport. Assembly requires only a few hand tools.
The gold dredge is equipped with the Honda GX200 engine and HP400 pump. This gold dredge is equipped with Proline’s“sure-flow” coupler, which essentially, eliminates all surface rock jams. Proline’s unique one piece jet/flare assembly not only reduces down time caused by rock jams, is extremely light, and outlasts conventional steel jets by four to five times!
This gold dredge uses the highly acclaimed “wave classifier” which is proven to greatly enhance fine gold recovery by eliminating the problems associated with processing low grade sand. The classifier develops a pulsing, or “jigging,” action which prevents the dredged material from loading up under it. By shedding the low grade particles, the fine gold can drop out of suspension earlier and accumulate under the classifier where it is safe from the turbulence and disturbance caused by the larger rocks traveling through the sluice. The rear portion of the sluice box utilizes “Hungarian” riffles for maximum efficiency and the dredge is equipped with Nomad matting for the ultimate in fine gold recovery. No other 4″ gold dredge even comes close.
This model is aimed toward the more serious dredger and offers the most suction power of any 5″ gold dredge in its class. Powered by two Honda GX200 engines, and Proline’s proven HP400 pumps, thus making it ideal for higher altitudes or for extra deep dredging. This gold dredge is easier to refuel and start due to the location of the pumps and the two smaller, lighter power plants are easier to handle than the larger single engine/pump designs. The twin engine model is also capable of driving an additional air compressor should the need arise.
This gold dredge uses the same modular flotation and sturdy frame which bolts together for ease of transporting and storage when not in use. Naturally, this gold dredge uses the same non-clogging jetting system found on other Proline equipment.
Of course, gold recovery is the prime factor in determining the worth of any gold dredge. Proline takes pride in building equipment that delivers recovery of the finest gold. NO machine can possibly keep all the gold, but our designs have proven that they are capable of consistently recovering finer gold than those offered by our competitors. The 5″ gold dredge offers excellent recovery while remaining lightweight and simple to adjust. This gold dredge has proven to be true work horse in the field, providing years of trouble-free operation in harsh conditions.
The Proline 6″ gold dredge was designed to be strong, powerful and efficient. It looks quite similar to the 5″twin. The pontoons are larger to support the additional weight and performance of the larger unit. We use thicker plastic to ensure years of service. The framework bolts together just like the 5″ but it is a more robust design.
The 6″ is powered by two Honda GX270 engines and Proline’s powerful HP500 pump(s) for excellent suction power and minimum fuel consumption. This unit is capable of operating at considerable depths. We stock it with the PCA10 high pressure diving air compressor for deep diving.
This is also the only 6″ gold dredge on the market which has 25 feet of dredge hose as a standard length. Longer hose can be supplied if needed. This unit operates well in rugged conditions and can handle moderately swift water if secured properly. The engines can be mounted on the gold dredge frame in several locations to compensate for varying dredging and water conditions. For instance, if the gold dredge is initially set up in a stream bed with very little water running over the gravel, the dredge hose may be supported on the river bottom. After the gold dredge has been in operation for some time, the dredging hose will eventually be unsupported and the weight of the hose and the dredged material can make the machine front heavy. Moving the engines rearward can greatly help to maintain stability.
This dredge offers excellent gold recovery just like our other products, and cleanup is quick and easy for a minimum of down time. This dredge has earned a solid reputation for performance and dependability. These commercial quality machines are currently being operated with great results in North America, South America, Africa, and throughout the Pacific.
