Don’t let product degradation or air locking ruin your site’s performance. Our hMAX and vMAX™ recessed-impeller pumps handle challenging slurries with ease. They are ideal for froth, large-particle, high-viscosity, and shear-sensitive applications in mining and mineral processing.
The recessed impeller design allows for the clear passage of air-entrained slurries without influencing the duty flow and head. Through constant recirculation, the open vortex impeller design allows for froth advancement without air locking. In fact, the hMAX can handle slurries containing up to 30% entrained air.
Large internal clearances allow the passage of large solids without contacting the impeller. This not only reduces impeller wear, but it also lowers the risk of clogging when handling slurries containing large solids and avoids product degradation in applications such as carbon transfer.
The vMAX pump is designed to resolve common sump pumping challenges, such as solids build-up at the suction inlet, leakage from the casing back, and excessive vibration. They make sump and plant clean-up a breeze, even when handling highly viscous fluids or slurries containing large solids.

Suitable for applications where tramp material, product degradation, or entrained air can affect pump performance, the hMAX slurry pump features a recessed impeller and large internal clearances within a heavy-duty concentric casing.
Minimise product degradation and shearing. Reduced risk of air locking. Large solids passing size. Extended wear life.
An optimised hydraulic design enables the vMAX pump to handle large solids and highly viscous fluids while its bottom-only suction configuration prevents clogging. It’s ideal for typical-to-extreme clean-up sump duties and can be supplied in a tank or on a skid.
Large solids passing size. No sump level control is required. Easy to operate, easy to maintain.
Quickly and easily change out the v-belts in minutes without realigning the pulleys.
Cut wear parts replacement time by 50% or more while also increasing safety.
Monitor and optimise pump operations with real-time data and instant alerts.
We provide comprehensive lifecycle support services for your KREBS slurry pumps. Our global network of service and spare parts centres ensures prompt access to parts and consumables, as well as offsite rebuilds through our pump rebuild exchange program. Our onsite service engineers monitor pump performance, offering recommendations for upgrades or adjustments to operating practices to maintain optimal efficiency as process conditions evolve over time. Additionally, we offer operation and maintenance training, including guidance on adjusting the wear ring.
Easy to operate and maintain, supporting safer day-to-day handling.
Extended wear life helps reduce waste and prolong component use.
A recessed-impeller pump is a type of centrifugal pump designed to handle challenging slurry pumping applications, such as slurries containing hi gh entrained air, large solids, or fibres.
Recessed-impeller pumps offer several benefits, such as improved solids handling, reduced impeller wear and so lower maintenance, efficient handling of frothy slurries and highly viscous liquids.
A recessed impeller is set back into the pump casing, creating a large clearance between the impeller and the suction port, which allows passage of large solids and frothy liquids. In contrast, s tandard imp ellers feature vanes enclosed between two shrouds, which reduc es recirculation and hydraulic losses and so improve pumping efficiency.
