Flowrox™ slurry knife gate valves

Heavy duty slurry knife gate valve isolates flow even in the most demanding process conditions. The bi-directional flow tolerates backflow and elastomer sleeves on both sides of the gate provide tight shut off. Flowrox knife gate valve follows the concept of the ease of maintenance. The valve body is cast in one piece which eliminates the need for sealing between the body halves. Load distribution ring is integrated into the valve sleeves. The valve contains only two service parts; ring sleeves and secondary seal.

Large SKF valves DN900–1500

Knife gate valve actuator cylinders repositioned to the side

In larger slurry knife gate valves above DN 900, the actuator cylinders have been repositioned to the side. This design offers several benefits: Significantly reduced height – Easier to install with less clearance required above the valve, Increased safety – Installation and maintenance are performed at ground level, not high in the air, Easier maintenance – All access points are within reach, approximately two meters from the ground

These valves are available in sizes from DN 900 to DN 1500. They can handle pressures from 10 bar down to 4 bar, depending on size. Flange drillings are PN10 or ANSI 150, with other options available on request. Actuation can be hydraulic or electric.

Entire valve body cast in one piece

For sizes DN 900 to DN 1500, the Flowrox slurry knife gate valve body is cast as a single piece. This eliminates any risk of leakage through the body. The design is simpler and more robust, with fewer components. Fewer parts also mean lower spare part inventory and reduced maintenance time.
