My Mokka is a write-off due to water pump failure

Original Issue

The issue started with a slight rattle. After trying to contact the dealership with no answer, a week later, the car flashed 'Engine overheated - idle engine'. Cause

The bearings in the water pump are of good quality, but the housing expands, allowing the bearings to move incorrectly.
