American Home Shield will pay up to $500 per agreement term for covered repairs for any permanently installed sewage ejector pumps located inside or outside the main foundation of the covered home, connected to either a sewer system or septic system.
Covered: The sewage ejector pump for septic system only. Septic tank pumping (one time during the plan agreement) if a stoppage has occurred due to a septic backup.
Not Covered: Stoppages or roots that prevent the effective use of any externally applied sewer machine cable. Chemical treatment of the septic tank and/or sewage lines. Disposal of waste. Tanks, leach lines, cesspool. Any mechanical pump or systems (such as sewage grinder pumps and lift stations).
Yes, you can add septic ejector pump & pumping coverage to your home warranty plan at the point of purchase or within the first 60 days of becoming a member.
Septic ejector pump & pumping coverage includes mainline stoppages that can be cleared through an existing access point or without excavation, and the sewer ejector pump. The septic tank will be pumped once during your contract term if the stoppage is due to septic backup. Septic pump coverage runs concurrently with your annual home warranty plan.
You can purchase the septic pump coverage when you purchase your home warranty plan, within the first 60 days of becoming a member, or during the renewal period when your contract expires.
