Analysis of Startup Methods for Mud Pump

Preparation work before the initial startup of mud pump

1. Check the bottom of the machine head, discharge the lubricating oil, and clean the oil tank.

2. Check if the clearance between the crosshead and the upper and lower guide plates meets the requirements.

3. Check if the cooling and lubricating agent in the spraying pump water tank meets the requirements.

4. Ensure all threaded connections are fastened, and there is no debris inside the mud pump.

5. Ensure that all valve positions on the mud pipeline are correct.

6. Check whether the inflation pressure of the exhaust bag is within the range of 4+0.5 MPa.

7. Open the inlet and outlet valves of the spraying pump and grouting system.

8. Ensure the integrity of the safety valve and pressure gauge's sensitivity.

9. Pour water or mud into the suction pipe chamber and discharge air.

Startup of mud pump

1. To improve the volumetric efficiency, we should start from low speed and gradually increase it.

2. If high pump speed is required, it must be done using the grouting pump.

3. Check if the oil pressure gauge at the power supply end reads correctly.

4. Check the temperature of each component carefully to avoid local overheating.

5. To start the mud pump, please contact the relevant operator and inspector.

6. When the mud pump starts, the inspector should pay attention to the pressure changes on the pressure gauge.

Monitor the running mud pump

1. Check if there are abnormal noises in the piston rod and the middle pull rod fixture, and whether all nuts as well as the valve cover and cylinder head on the hydraulic cylinder are loose. If any abnormalities are found, identify the cause and deal with it promptly.

2. Check whether there is any leakage at each high-pressure seal, and whether there is piercing and leaking sound in the pump valve, cylinder sleeve and other parts. If problems are found, deal with them promptly.

3. Pay attention to the pressure changes of the mud pump, and deal with any abnormalities promptly.

4. Please pay attention to whether the water supply of the spraying pump is normal.

5. Pay attention to whether components such as bearings and the crosshead guide plate with relative movement have excessive temperature or abnormalities.

6. Check if the oil lubrication pressure gauge reading at the power end of the rear of the frame is normal.
