Underground Junction Boxes

Romtec Utilities designs and engineers junction boxes in underground vault structures. These provide a safe and secure connection point between in-well electrical components and the pump station’s control panel. Romtec Utilities can customize your junction box’s design for simplex, duplex, triplex, and any other pump configuration required. Our standard offering includes water tight hatches, drainage into the wet well, and leak detection sensors with alarms to protect your electrical equipment from damage. Romtec Utilities prefabricates and assembles the complete vault structure to arrive on-site ready for installation. Electrical and structural drawings are included with all of Romtec Utilities junction boxes.

Above-Grade Disconnect Panels & Junction Boxes

Above-grade junction boxes and disconnect stands are great additions to any pump station where site conditions allow. These enclosures provide a safe connection between electrical components in the wet well, like pumps and level sensing equipment, to the control panel. Above-grade junction boxes can be located in enclosures outside the wet well or as disconnect panels with Meltric disconnect plugs. Disconnect panels can be implemented to perform maintenance on the pumps without an electrician using the Meltric plugs. Explosion proof enclosures and intrinsically safe components can be integrated when class 1/division 1 spaces are present. Romtec Utilities will design your disconnect panels and junction boxes to meet or exceed all NEC and NFPA requirements.
