How will the container be delivered to my location? What about cost?
RPS delivers the container via trailer. Delivery is not included in the cost and transportation will be charged at actual quoted rates. Cost will be dependent on distance traveled, and calculated custom for your location.We will put out for quote on request! Sometimes it's surprising low!
Is there a waitlist for purchase or delivery?
Yes, due to popular demand and quality of workmanship, there is a waitlist for both the 20ft and 40ft solar containers. We’ll give you an estimate on wait time and a heads up whenever your container moves into production.
How long does production take?
Approximately 30 days.
Is there a deposit required to reserve a solar container?
Yes, RPS requires a 50% deposit on all solar container purchases.
How does RPS source our containers?
RPS sources “one trip” containers (used for only a single trip overseas, very little wear, newer floors) and “watertight” containers retired after 10 years (may have some dents and welds but the container is watertight with a lot of life in it!). You have the option to choose which type of sourced container you’d like. RPS cleans, sanitizes and checks for any contaminants in the wood before moving containers into production. There is a price break on “Watertight” containers,Subtract $2,000 from the total price for 20', and $4,000 for 40'.
What’s the warranty?
RPS offers a 2 Year warranty on the solar panels, solar panel roof mounting and entire Watersecure system (wiring, batteries, inverter).
What kind of batteries are included? What's the lifespan on the batteries?
RPS uses 160Ah, 12V VLRA GEL sealed batteries with operation lifetime up to 15 years and 1,350-1,550 cycles (50% DOD) before they lose only 40% of their capacity. Compare that to standard flooded lead acid batteries and you will see you are getting 3-4 times the lifetime for about the same cost.
How are all the pieces shipped?
RPS packages up your shipping container with all of your batteries, power components, mounting etc. safety tucked away inside the container itself.
