The production of Razor Wire or Barbed Tape Wire

To produce the razor wire (barbed tape concertina wire), barbs of different shapes are punched out of steel strip. The razor wire consists of the razor tape (barbed tape) and a high-tensile 2.5 mm steel wire. The razor tape (barbed tape) is cold clenched – depending on product type – around the wire forming adjacent loops which are firmly clipped together at 5, 7 or 9 locations per loop. Through the utilization of a core steel wire, the barbed wire achieves an enormous stiffness, which makes it difficult to be cut or compressed.

Razor Tape (Barbed Tape) BARRIER “B”

Barbed tape BARRIER “B” comes in 50 m spools. Our dispenser spools off and simultaneously twisted the barbed tape. The barbed tape can be retracted with our rewinder.

Razor Wire BARRIER “BS”

Loops of type BARRIER “BS” are not clipped togehter and, therefore, can be streched to 170 meter length.

Razor Wire BARRIER “S”

Adjacent loops of type BARRIER “S” are firmly clipped together to achieve the concertina effect.

Razor WireBARRIER “SZ”

Type BARRIER “SZ” with medium barbs is similar to Type “S”. Medium barbs increase the deterrent effect as well as penetration time.

Razor Wire BARRIER “Z”

Type BARRIER “Z” wit large barbs has a considerable higher deterrent effect as type BARRIER “S” and “SZ”. The detainer hook shape of the barbs increases their stability.

Razor Wire BARRIER “ZL”

Type BARRIER “ZL” with extra large barbs and increased in the strip thickness of 0.63 mm heighten the deterrent effect beyond BARRIER “Z”.

Flat Wrap (Flat Razor Wire) BARRIER “FD”

Adjacent loops of type BARRIER “S” are firmly clipped together to form this type of “flat” roll.
