Tired of getting scammed by cheap LiFePO4 batteries? Not getting the capacity that was advertised or the features that were promised? Worried about safety? Check out my updated recommendations below! Most LiFePO4 battery brands will have multiple manufacturers, so these recommendations below are for these models in particular. Their other models usually have issues and should be avoided. ​Especially the "smart" versions!

Best Build Quality and Value 12V LFP

• Large capacity (100AH packs cost a lot to wire in parallel)
• Not a "smart" battery (no cycling issues or security problems)
• Best Build Quality. I tested every single on in this price range. This one is hands down the best.
• 200A BMS, so 2.5kW output! Not bad for 12V

This model tested better than all the other wattcycles. If I were to get one 12V battery today, it would be this.

Ecoworthy: The Only "Smart" Battery

​Without Issues

Now this battery is not that pretty, but it is the best performing 12V "smart" battery around. In my testing, it had the longest bluetooth range, zero cycling issues (like all the other "smart" batteries available) and high quality cells. The build quality is on par with a wattcycle, but does not have any of the software issues. Ecoworthy constantly updates their batteries with feedback from the forum.

Some crazy stats about this battery:

• New from the factory, these have the best cell voltage balance of all batteries I have tested.
• If I do a capacity test at .2C (56A) or with 200A, I get 290Ah and 290.2Ah, respectively. Incredible!
• I can run 200A till it dies.
• I can connect to the bluetooth twice as far as any other battery on my list. I can be in a different building and still connect. It is bonkers.
• Metal cell holders. This is usually only found in more expensive models. Build quality is on par with batteries that cost $100-$200 more.

The older version of this battery was extremely reliable. These new updates make it the best battery on my list now!

Ecoflow 12V Battery: Reliable and Safe!

But Small

Pretty incredible battery but for some reason they only make it in 100Ah. Zero complaints from my viewers and it passed all my tests. Works as well as a wattcycle and sometimes its the cheapest battery on this list!

Cheapest 12V around:

Really stupid name but it is good! So are their 100Ah models.

• Cheapest battery with functional over current protection
• Fantastic capacity results
• Decent build quality, especially for the price
• A lot of people are running them without issue!

Update: Some people are getting different cells now. Some come with 305Ah, others 314Ah. You just do not know what you will get with this company. I really like this battery though for the price. I would say it is the best budget battery around, but results will vary when it comes to capacity.

My Favorite 100/200Ah Budget 12V Battery

This is the only budget 12V battery with over current protection and low temp charging protection. The build quality is fantastic, the cells are great and my capacity tests were amazing. Litime used to have the best "budget" models around, but now it is wattcycle.

This battery has features that the other batteries on this page do not have, but it costs a lot:

• Built in communication system! CAN BUS or RS485
• Built in DC rated circuit breaker on LL model
• State of Charge Indicator w/ Internal Shunt
• Fire arrestor
• Precharge resistor circuit (no need to use your own resistor)
• Rated to 7000 cycles w/ DOD of 80%!​
