The name "Summerwood Products" came up during our research for a fast and high-quality shed that could be assembled at our cottage. We also found that the prices from local shops were too high and their timelines inconvenient. I wanted to handle the construction myself despite having limited experience in this area. The sales process, assisted by Gareth, went smoothly, and we placed an order for the precut Sonoma model shed. Upon delivery, construction began. I received a comprehensive set of drawings, step-by-step instructions, and access to Summerwood's helpful instructional videos on their website. Additionally, their customer service representative, Ray, was exceptional in addressing all my questions and provided prompt, excellent support throughout the process. The materials were shipped complete, accompanied by an inventory list, ensuring a worry-free construction process. The precut pieces were precisely measured, saving me significant time and reducing dust and construction waste at the site. This was a solo project for me, as I couldn’t secure a helper, except for assistance with the concrete slab and the metal roof. The framing and wall assembly were tasks I managed entirely on my own. Two months later, the shed was fully built. Would I take on a precut project like this by myself again? Probably not—it was physically challenging and time-consuming, especially at my age. For anyone considering a similar project, I would recommend exploring preassembled or installed options if the budget allows and ensuring a helper is available throughout the process. That said, my overall experience was incredibly rewarding—I’m happy, happy, happy!
