Voopoo sent the newest addition to the Doric Pod family called the Doric Q which has a 800mAh internal battery and also has replaceable ITO coils for the 2ml Pod it uses. This device is such a easy one to use because it's auto draw only and has no buttons or manual adjustments or display screen for that matter. I'll run the Doric Q thr ough it's paces and find out how well of a performer it is but first lets get some info about it prior to my review.

Voopoo sent me a nice Christmas package as they do every year and inside this years package was the Doric Q Voopoo asked me to review, I thought I'd share a photo of it with you. Getting back to the review I was surprised to see that no charging cable was included and only the 1 cartridge inside the pod was offered. Thankfully in the years of reviewing vape gear I've never received a bad coil or pod cartridge from a review sample but things do happen and if someone was to buy the Doric Q and this is especially for a brand new vaper and they had a bad cartridge that slipped past QC they would be dead in the water. Most of us have charge cords from other devices but a new vaper probably wont, and I think the Doric Q is a great starter kit for a new vaper so I think a charge cord and 2nd cartridge should have been included but Voopoo is probably trying to keep the cost of the device down. As I mentioned the Ito 1.0Ω cartridge is preinstalled in the device and a user manual in a paper pamphlet form further cutting down the cost of this kit. I am glad to see Voopoo is keeping the tinting on their pods very light or clear as the Doric Q is so juice viewing can be done with a simple glance. The bore size of the mouthpiece is perfect. Filling the pod cartridge is done using side fill, the rubber plug is rather thin so be careful and don't manhandle it when pulling it out of the fill port. The fill port is large enough to fit 100ml bottle tips. Connection of pod to the device isn't done with magnets instead it uses raised tabs that fit into a circular recess that covers in inner diameter of the Doric Q, the connection is a very secure fit. Many devices of this type use a auto draw system instead of button fire, not all auto draw device are able to achieve a smooth non choppy draw, thankfully the auto draw works very well. Inside the device is a raised nozzle that is it's auto draw feed tube, below the auto draw feed tube nozzle are 2 spring loaded Gold contact pins that make connection to the Ito coil inside the pod cartridge. For safety reasons even though the device is auto draw only Voopoo puts a protective sticker on the bottom of the pod cartridge preventing it from making contact with the pin and firing, remove this after filling the pod with juice before vaping.
I wanted to charge the Doric Q to it's full capacity before the review testing and found it needed about 12 minutes of charging before the solid Green LED light appeared, When charging a Blue LED is lit. On the very bottom of the device a 3 ventilation holes for the 800mAh internal battery. Having a look at the back of the device you'll see there is 1 very small airflow intake hole, there is no airflow adjustment on the Doric Q but in my opinion Voopoo got it right with the fixed airflow it has. The single hole gives a great MTL vape for my style of MTL vape ( not to tight or loose ). Below the single airflow intake hole is the type-c charge port and it's position allows it to stand upright when being charged, although because it's such a featherweight it wants to lay down unless the charge cord is positioned just right. When I tell you this is a very compact device I'm not kidding, it can be completely hidden with a closed fist and it also a featherweight easily being a shirt pocket device. You can see in the picture below that a lot of vapor condensation gathers in the mouthpiece with use but it stays there and does not enter the mouth, the top of the coil is very close to the mouthpiece (giving better flavor ).
I have to say this little powerhouse surprised me by how well it performed. The size and weight I;ve already told you about but I haven't told you about the flavor which is above average in my opinion giving a saturated sharp taste of flavor from a juice I use daily. I am a fan of the Ito coil because it has proven itself in past reviews and this one was no different. Vapor production is about what a MTL device should put out . I also like how far down in the coil the cotton feed is because you can just about vape the pod cartridge empty. It's auto draw performs great giving a warm MTL vape without any chop or slop just a smooth continuous vape from start to finish. Voopoo says you will get 10 days of vaping from the pod cartridge and I can't confirm this because I've only been using it for 4 days but flavor is still like day one. I wish the Doric Q has some sort of battery meter though letting you know what the strength is. I consider the Doric Q to be a winner and recommend it. I would like to thank Nical and Voopoo for the nice Christmas gift as well as providing the Doric Q for review. THANK YOU BIGBOB2322
