Geek Bar Pulse X Price: Slightly higher than the original, usually around the $18–22 mark, depending on flavor and seller.
Biggest Upgrade: Dual mesh coil tech and advanced airflow result in smoother, bigger hits.
Battery Life: Noticeably longer.
E-liquid Capacity: 18mL on Pulse X vs ~16mL on standard Pulse.
Flavor Depth: More consistent and intense in the X.
Is it worth it? If you value performance and longevity, absolutely.
The Pulse X isn’t trying to hide what it is. It’s a statement vape. It’s thicker in the hand than the original Pulse and feels more substantial, not heavy, but premium. A few regulars told us it reminded them of holding a small portable speaker, which isn’t far off.
The clear LED screen on the front has become a signature of Geek Bar products, and in the X, it’s even brighter. You get real-time updates on both battery and juice levels. It’s a simple addition, but when you’re trying to plan a weekend without running dry, it’s a lifesaver.
This is the upgrade that keeps people coming back.
The Pulse X features Geek Bar’s new dual mesh coil system, which means vapor production and flavor dispersion are both way more balanced. One of our customers, Jay, stopped in last week and said, “It’s like going from regular coffee to espresso. You just feel more of everything.”
Compared to the OG Pulse, the X doesn’t spike or fade out mid-use. It delivers steady, punchy hits whether you’re on day one or day five.
Airflow sliders are hit or miss on disposables. On some devices, adjusting it barely does anything. But the Pulse X actually responds. Want tight, intense rips? Slide it down. Prefer smoother clouds? Slide it open. One of our budtender friends said she used it while hiking and kept the airflow low to conserve battery and juice, and it worked better than expected.
The Pulse X holds 18mL of e-liquid, versus around 16mL for the original Pulse. Doesn’t sound like much? Over a week of heavy use, that adds up.
One customer bought both Pulse and Pulse X during a weekend sale and decided to test them side by side on a trip to Galveston. The original ran dry on day three. The Pulse X? Still kicking on the fifth day. Battery usage also tracked slightly longer, probably because the X is optimized to sip power more efficiently.
Let’s talk money.
Most shops (including ours) price the Pulse X between $18.99 and $21.99. The original Pulse usually comes in around $16 to $18. So yes, you’re paying $2 to $4 more.
But for that small jump, you’re getting:
If you’re a casual user, the OG Pulse might still work for you. But if you’re looking for a no-fuss disposable that hits hard and lasts longer, the X gives you better dollar-per-puff performance.
Both Pulse and Pulse X come in popular fruit-forward options like Watermelon Ice, Strawberry Mango, and Blue Razz Ice. But the X tends to push slightly more flavor intensity due to the dual coil setup.
We had a couple in the shop last week who tried both. The verdict? She preferred the smoother throat hit on the X, while he said the OG had more “raw” fruit taste. It’s subtle, but real. Your flavor experience may vary based on what you’re chasing, smoothness vs sharpness.
This isn’t the vape for everyone.
We had a traveler from New Orleans stop in and pick up a Pulse X just before heading to the airport. He messaged our Instagram a few days later: “Didn’t touch my backup. Still running on the first one. Appreciate the rec.”
At Big Mo’s Smoke Shop, we stock both Pulse and Pulse X for a reason. Some of our regulars still prefer the OG. But for those chasing performance, flavor depth, and battery life, the Pulse X really does hit a different tier.
Yes, the price is a little higher. But the experience matches it and then some.
If you’ve been debating whether it’s worth trying, stop by. Or if you’re shopping online, grab one of each and test them back to back. Odds are, you’ll find yourself reaching for the Pulse X more often.
