Wanted: recipe for reds apple ejuice

    learningtoquit asks:

I tried this reds apple ejuice today and wow ! Anyone got a similar recipe or can lead me in the right direction of what to try ?

    Wheelin247 responds:

Was it like a play on Redd's Apple Ale but in juice form? I'm gonna be hanging out and seeing what comes of this cause that would be something I'd be interested in.

    JCinFLA responds:

It might help if you could give the brand name or company name that made it. There are literally thousands of different eliquids, so without one of those 2 things...it would be like trying to find the proverbial "needle in a haystack" to point you in the direction of even a clone recipe.

    Aus11 responds:

If its a reds apple ale ejuice im sold.... I want this now..!

    learningtoquit responds:

Reds apple ejuice from a company called Vape 7 daze

    tazzle responds:

I haven't seen any recipes for Reds Apple, but for anyone interested I have found some for their "Selfie Sunday," a different apple flavor from 7 Daze.

    glasseye responds:

I'd try some FA Liquid Amber (for a bit of sour/tart/fermented taste) with your favorite apple flavoring. Mine would be Inawera Two Apple. That sounds good, I need to go try that.

    bwh79 responds:

Eww...that stuff's nasty. I asked for "any hard cider" once at a bar and the guy gave me that. I drank it, because I had already paid, but I didn't enjoy it. When I went back for another, there had been a shift change, and so I asked the new guy if they had any other ciders because this one wasn't very good. He sort of chuckled and said "well, that's because that's not a cider." "No," I said, "it isn't." So they sold me an Angry Orchard. Not my favorite cider, but at least it was a real cider (fermented apple juice), and not an apple-flavored malt liquor.

    Aus11 responds:

I enjoyed it. Angry Orchard is another good one. Dont know of many though.

    bwh79 responds:

I suppose if you're already a beer drinker, it might be nice. I, myself, am not a beer drinker, hence why I asked the barkeep for a hard cider and not for a beer. Taste still being subjective and all, I think at least we can agree that Redd's is not made of fermented apple juice. As for e-juice...I think I've seen a "beer" flavor concentrate around somewhere. Maybe try mixing that with an "apple candy" flavor, and see what happens?

    Aus11 responds:

Agreed, maybe in my next batch I can get a beer flavor and mix it with the double apple I have left. I wonder how that would work out...

    IDJoel responds:

Here ya' go: Flavour Art - Beer flavor (and "No!" I haven't tried it). I was thinking a champagne concentrate, like TFA's, or FA's, might be good for the fermentation notes without adding too much extra to the overall flavor profile. Might even be a good place for a drop of FA-Joy, if the "yeast" note needs a bump, and you want a little extra sweet. Just thinking out loud...

    Wheelin247 responds:

My wife likes the strawberry ale but I prefer the Stella Artois Cidré. It has that fermented apple juice taste without the beer taste. My wife and I are beer drinkers and she doesn't like the cidré but I liked it. Taste even better when it's draft beer (but ALL beer taste better out of a tap). You may want to give that a try.

    bwh79 responds:

I think I've had the Cidre before...if I remember, it was pretty good. Nice and dry, like I like. Strongbow is another good one. Crispin is maybe too dry, it's almost like drinking a glass of paper. And there's always good old Hornsby's. Their Amber Draft is a little on the sweet side (and the Crisp Apple tastes like a Jolly Rancher candy) but it used to be about the only one you could find before all these new ones hit the market.

    numsquat responds:

I brew beer and cider. The two should never meet, eeech. Redd's is the worse of both. I have a 10gal system but how I do my cider I can make 25gal at one time and can make up to 5 different flavors each batch. Have 6 taps at home (and can run 4 cobra taps in addition if I want) and 2 will have a cider at all times.
