DIY 100% VG E Liquid (How to)

    DIY 100% VG E Liquid

I have been making juice for a little while now and I wanted to make a few runs at 100% VG juice. But as far as the flavor portion goes and a reliable process, can you throw a few tips my way or show me what flavors work well. I am interested to find out which carrier you use instead of a PG base and the steeping process.

    1. essential depot makes good VG 2. VG needs no more flavor then PG it just needs to steep longer. 3. Depending on the device thick VG mixes may have wicking issues. So you may need to add up to 20% distilled water but always start low (5%) when adding water and keep adding until there are no more wicking problems (dry hits) and vapor output is good.

Run some small tests. Here is a super simple method. 1. Put 20 drops of VG into a small bottle. 2. Put flavor drops into the bottle based on the percentage of flavor you want to use. 3. So if you want to test 20% of flavor that would be 4 drops of one flavor or 1 drop of 4 flavors or 2 drops of two flavors! 4. The VG drops are thicker than your flavor drops so make a small adjustment here for your total volume. 5. Mix it up and drip it onto a wick and coil and vape. If you like it, make more. Have fun! Good luck! This method is easier and more efficient than mixing 3-5ml samples. I also do not enjoy measuring .025 mls in a 1 ml syringe! It's super fast and you can get many combinations tested quickly. As far as what flavors go with what flavors, there are many places here to figure that out. I simply makeup my own combinations. Peanut Butter does go well with banana or caramel or double chocolate coconut though!

My VG DIY juices are this formula: %flavor + %water = ~22%, with the rest VG and nic. Most flavors are solutions in PG, so if it is flavored at all, chances are there is some PG. Since I don't tolerate PG well, I keep my flavors to maximum 10%, but almost all the time I am at 1-5% flavor, if I use any at all...I do like a good unflavored vape. Picky point (but that's just me): 100% VG is just that, 100% VG, nothing else at all. No nic, flavor, water, just VG.

Absolutly correct. Many tend to say they are vaping 100%VG when in fact there not. Flavoring and water add to the total mix percentage. Most flavors contain PG and usually they need to add some percentage of water just to make the juice flow in the device. So the closest you will get to all VG is if you use no water and VG based flavoring and even at that you wont be at 100% VG as most flavors are 10% solid flavor molecules disolved in 90% VG/PG or an alcohol base liquid just to make a 10% concentrate solution that you eventually add to flavor your VG base.

Who has the best flavor drops? I found this great thread in case others are looking into the same thing.

    JulesXsmokr

That's a whole new thread. There's tons of suggestions and threads on what's good and who makes it.

In order to do 90%VG up you pretty much have to use VG based flavors. They are hard to find but some are out there. Organic flavors can be used but some of them have alcohol or water in them so that will thin the juice. I find also that High VG juice needs to steep a little longer.

Oh when/if you go organic prepare to have gunked up heads from some of the stuff they put in them like syrups, gums, natural sweeteners and other stuff.

lol................I think I'll stick with my VG/PG World. Thanks for all the feedback. Seems like a bit more than I intended. I'm a dripper, but I do make juice for my wife to leave in my Nautilus tank when I am not home. She loves to drip as well, only problem is. I have to drip for 2 now. She does, but not enough. I can't stress to her enough to keep it wet.....lol
