What types of tools are available to rent from a Menards® store?

Tools available for rent vary by store and may include: various power tools, flooring and sanding tools, drywall tools, scaffolding and ladders, lawn equipment, power washers, concrete tools, appliance dollies, carpet cleaners, insulation blowers, and the Menards® Pickup & Go Vehicle. Please contact your local Menards® store for a complete list of tools available to you.

What is the process to rent?

1. Select the desired tool from the Rental Center.

2. Proceed to the Service Desk where a Team Member will assist in checking out the item(s).

3. Once the rental checkout is complete, loading assistance is available upon request.

4. Upon return, proceed to the Service Desk where a Team Member will assist in checking in the item(s).

What do I need to bring with me when I pick up rental tools?

1. Must provide a valid photo ID (driver's license, US passport, federal or state issued photo ID, or US military ID).

2. Must have a valid credit card (Menards® BIG Card®, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover).

What is the age requirement for renting tools?

1. You must be 18 years or older to rent tools.

2. You must be 21 years or older to rent a vehicle.

Why should I rent tools?

We offer the ability to rent the same commercial-grade tools and equipment many professionals choose to buy, without the high cost associated with purchasing new and without the hassle of maintenance or storage.

What happens if I need a tool longer?

If more time is needed to complete your project, call the store phone number that is listed on the machine to extend the rental period. Payment for the additional time will be charged upon check-in.
