The 2 Inch dredge series is the smallest, lightest, most portable and affordable line of dredges. We refer to these dredges as our "back pack dredges" because they can be carried as just that, back packs! This kind of portability makes our 2 Inch series ideal for extremely remote areas and the perfect solution for small or low water stream type conditions. Our 2 Inch dredges are ideal for the novice to get started with and a tried and true favorite of the weekend prospector. Simple set up, straightforward operation, compact storage and completely expandable into a power sluice or bank mounted dredges.
2" Backpack Dredge with Power Jet This super high powered backpack dredge is equipped with a lightweight, heavy-duty 2.5hp Honda 4 cycle engine that nearly doubles the power from our previous models. This smooth dredge produces an unbelievable 100 gallons per minute and 161 feet of head pressure. The sluice box is specifically engineered for fine gold recovery and easy clean up. The 2004PJF is constructed with an aluminum frame and either inflatable or Marlex pontoons. The inflatable pontoons can be easily deflated and rolled up into a small package making them extremely easy to transport and store. Our 3 inch dredges offer extreme versatility and are ideal for small to mid-sized dredging projects. The reinforced sluice box features rolled top edges and heavy duty latches for long life and durability as well as a long sluice track adjustment for precise tilt positioning. A large woven wire mesh classifier screen and black rubber ribbed matting at the entry section of the sluice provides for better classification and instant recognition of values. The combination of miners moss and expanded metal placed under the first half of the riffle section allows for improved fine gold recovery. Marlex Jet Flares increase suction power, diffusing material for more equal distribution into the sluice box. The Jet can be pivoted upward between the floats for ease of maneuvering through extremely shallow water. The pivoting Jet Flare and sluice can be detached from the floats and placed on level ground for use with a power jet or suction nozzle. The flotation system has been designed with a light frame and the streamlined pontoons are equipped with 3 "stringers" on the bottom that assist in sliding over rocks in shallow water. The floats are also conveniently molded with storage indentures providing a place to set your mask, gloves, tools, or other items. All of our 3 Inch Dredges are equipped with Model P180 pumps, PPJF3 Jet Flares, SB3F Sluice Boxes and have a dredging capacity of 3 cubic yards per hour. This New 4” dredge is specifically designed to be lighter and more portable than standard models. The smaller, more compact 4” is ideal for packing into remote areas and is also great for quick one day outings. The sluice box has been shortened by 8” for a total of 40” in length. The new sluice is a single stage box, however with the woven wire classifier, the long rubber damper, miners moss, rubber ribbed matting and the latest riffle designs, you will not be disappointed in the fine gold recovery. The lighter sluice and flare weights around 30 lbs, making it easy to throw it over your shoulder and pack it in. The new float and frame on much smaller and lighter only 40 inches wide and 60” long and complete weighs less than 50 lbs. The dredge is just the right size to fit in between the wheel wells of a mini pickup or inside a small SUV. This selection of 6 and 8 inch heavy duty dredges are "State of the Art" equipment for economy and portability. Large carpeted walkways on the decks can accommodate several divers and provides for ease of access around all working parts of the dredge. The sluice box sets below the surface of the water, reducing out of water lift and increasing suction power. All models are equipped with a winch leveling system for precise tilt and sluice box adjustment. The double classification sluice design gives you excellent recovery. The first portion of the sluice containing the coarse gold can be cleaned separately without removing the lower riffle system that contains most of the fine gold. The second riffle section is covered with a .5 inch woven wire classification screen that classifies material and keeps large cobbles from entering the fine gold recovery section of the sluice box. The dredge itself is mounted on four modular Marlex flotation modules that provides for superior stability. Dimensions on all models are approximately 120" x 94" x 23" and each dredge comes with 20 feet of suction hose. The Nessie 8DX has been hailed as "The Dredge of the Future" and dubbed a World Class Dredge. The first real portable cutterhead Dredge has been designed for maximum productivity with minimal bulk. Just one look at Nessie and you can see that this is a Dredge in a class by itself. The key to the 8DX's versatility is the wide variety of implements that can be easily interchanged. From a variety of harvesters, grapplers and cutterheads to choose from, there is virtually no project that the Nessie 8DX cannot handle. "State of the Art Design" features rugged hull construction of unitized steel and fiberglass. Low Profile Design provides a low center of gravity for stability and less wind resistance. High Freeboard design provides efficient operation in areas with up to 2 foot wave action where other dredges could not function. The Nessie 6DX is a cost effective, 6 inch portable reclamation dredge that is ideal for smaller projects and is equipped with many of the same features as on our larger production model. This dredge can pump up to 2000 feet away with the 8 inch discharge dredge tubing that has the capacity of up to 100 cubic yards of solids per hour. It is powered by an economical 115 horsepower diesel engine. The heavy duty, submerged vortex, belt-driven pump is constructed of a 650 Briniel hardness steel for superior longevity. This pump is capable of moving solid material up to 6 inches in diameter while the cutterhead restricts the size of solids as large as 4 inches for continuous operation. The 30 inch Bucketwheel cutterhead can achieve up to 50 percent solid content with our efficient "bucketwheel" design. The 6 inch Nessie 6DX must be equipped with optional lightweight, floating, 8 inch dredge tubing and couplings. Our 6DX comes equipped with our new tandem trailer with built in winch for ease of launching and loading. Its new torsion bar axle suspension enables smooth and safe transportation on most highways and roads. The multifunction arm can dredge up to 18 feet in depth and accommodate a variety of work implements for most every marine maintenance project. The control console of the 6DX provides complete ease of operation with fingertip and joystick controls. Even the four heavy-duty, large, folding hydraulic spuds are easily operated from the console. High Profile Dredging Systems This specialized dredge is equipped with two 10 horsepower Yanmar Diesel engines that drive our P350 pumps as well as our heavy duty 263 air compressor that will accommodate multiple divers. This unique dredge features our SB6SE, 6" extended sluice box that is equipped with a specialized 20' x 26" Diamond Riffle, a system specifically designed for the recovery of diamonds and gemstones. The 6220DE has an amazing a dredging capacity of up to 15 yards per hour and a depth of up to 50 feet. The floatation system on this dredge has been extended for superior stability even in fast, deep water conditions. The extended floatation has enabled us to flank both sides of the sluice box with carpeted platforms over 12 feet in length, providing for ample work space.
