Advice for sewage pump replacement

    Advice for sewage pump replacement

Hi all, I need to replace my sewage ejector pump and would like to get advice for a few questions. From the label on the basin cover, the current pump is a 115V, 1/2 HP, 1700 rpm. It has 3" discharge pipe going out of the cover and to about 10 feet vertical before branching to the city sewer line. My questions: 1. Any recommendation on brand/model? I'd like to get the most reliable right size pump. Cost is secondary. 2. Which is better, an automatic or nonauto (separate float)? 3. Any recommendation on alarm system? Thanks in advance. Jac

Is this for a whole house or, just a besement bath?

first choice.... second choice... both are excellent products.

It is just for the basement. Washer, dryer, 2 sinks, a toilet & a bathtub. Thanks Jac

Then Packy's suggestions are excellent. If it was whole house I was going to say it should be a duplex system for backup pumping. But, with a partial house a simplex system is fine. Liberty recently came out with a 4/10 HP unit that has very attractive pricing, it would do well in your application with 10' lift.

Thanks for the advice guys. Any thought on automatic pump vs. noautomatic? Jac

Re: Advice for sewage pump replacement
