Tomahawk TW3H Full Trash Pump – Installation & Operation Guide

1. Safety First

WARNING: Always operate outdoors, on a stable, level surface with at least 1 m clearance from buildings or structures.

WARNING: Never run near flames, sparks, or while refueling—the engine or fuel vapors are fire hazards .

CAUTION: Don’t operate on slopes or move the pump while running; risk of oil starvation and tipping.

2. Pre‑Start Inspection

Check engine oil level, add per Honda GX120/160/240 specs. Low oil may trigger automatic shutdown .

Confirm the fuel tank has clean unleaded gasoline; do not overfill.

Verify that hoses, fittings, and priming plug are clean and undamaged.

3. Set‑Up

Position the pump securely, attach suction and discharge hoses with airtight connections.

Prime the pump by removing the top plug, filling the volute with water, then reinstall the plug ahead of starting.

4. Engine Start‑Up

Turn fuel valve ON.

For a cold start, set choke fully closed.

Switch engine ignition ON.

Pull starter cord until engine starts; gradually return choke to ON position as the engine warms.

5. Operation

Monitor output discharge. Always keep pump wet—running dry will overheat and damage internals.

The TW3H can handle solids up to 1.5″ diameter and flow up to ~375 GPM per spec sheet.

Engine includes an oil-alert sensor that shuts it down automatically at low oil levels .

6. Shutdown Procedure

Turn ignition OFF (engine stops).

Close fuel valve.

Allow unit to cool before handling, servicing, or stowing.

7. Routine Maintenance

After each use: flush with clean water, drain residual water to prevent corrosion.

Weekly: clean or replace air filter; inspect spark plug.

Regularly check hoses and clamps; tighten or replace as necessary.

8. Storage Tips

If stored >30 days: drain fuel or use fuel stabilizer.

Store in a dry, ventilated space.

Ensure oil and coolant levels are correct per Honda manual before next use
