Great working on small jobs such as a flooded garage, continues pumping to a shallow depth.
I’ve had the pump-in a Grey water tank approximately 4 1/2 years. What would the life expectancy be for this pump, it’s an XSP - 900.
Cheap. Thought it was not working well but turns out it's likely the long garden hose I'm using. The bigger the hose the better the flow so keep that in mind.
On special for $49, goes great. Don't listen to what Susan is saying in her review as she probably had no idea how to prime the pump. For the price you cannot complain about it, especially with a one year warranty.
Returned this dreadful product to Bunnings, they didn't hesitate to provide full refund. Appears to be an Ozito product, rebranded under the mysterious brand name "XU1" . I can only guess this stands for "whoops this line didn't work, let's sell it off under another name, with only one year warantee". The specs of this pump are higher than the other more expensive Ozitos, and the body is pretty much identical to higher-cost Ozito pumps, so I should have taken that as a warning.
Anyhow, I purchased this to pump out flooding on my building site, and it just sat there limply spitting out teaspoons of water when it felt like it. I shook it up, reset all the connections numerous times to wake it up, it drowsily lifted it's game for a few cycles then drifted back to sleep. Dont waste your time.
This pump was great value for money and worked brilliantly for the purpose I needed it. I had to drain the water from my home swimming pool to do some maintenance which included acid washing. This pump worked tirelessly for over 5 hours and delivered a great outcome.
