Common troubleshooting solutions for slurry pumps

In case the slurry pump fails to start:

Verify power supply: Check if the joint connection is secure, switch contact is tight, fuse is not blown, and the three-phase power supply is not missing.

Check for mechanical failures: Examine for tight packing, debris blockage, rust on pump shaft, bearing, or leakage-reducing ring, and bent pump shaft.

Remedies: Loosen packing, clear debris, remove rust, correct pump shaft, or replace with a new one.

If the slurry pump doesn't turn

Check for solid and hard sediment buildup in the volute and take measures to remove the silt.

To address insufficient slurry pumps flow:

Clean impeller or water inlet/outlet pipes if blocked.

Replace impeller if severely worn.

Seal packing air leakage.

Remedies: Restore rated speed, adjust blade angle, shorten pipeline, seal water pump air leakage, remove impeller blockage or replace, and replace leakage-reducing ring.

Slurry pump vibrations and noise

are usually caused by uneven medium density, unlevel pump installation, cavitation, uneven air intake, and excessive bearing clearance.

For leakage at the slurry pump filler

check for installation error, wear in sealing water ring, or blocked sealing clean water pipe, and replace or clear as needed.
