UltraSump Battery Backup

What It Does:

The UltraSump® Battery Backup Sump Pump System is an automatic, DC-powered (battery-powered) sump system. Capable of pumping more than 12,000 gallons of water with a fully charged battery, this system provides you long-lasting protection from power outages, sump pump failures, blown fuses, and similar issues. Your battery backup sump pump is also able to turn on when the primary sump pump is overwhelmed by very high waters. As the water level rises in the sump pit, the UltraSump® will turn on, adding pumping power to your system. A sump pump is made with moving mechanical parts -- and like all mechanical things, it will break down. Because of this, we recommend installing an UltraSump® in every system.

How will you know when your sump pump system has failed? If there whole house loses power, you'll probably know. If you have a blown fuse, or your primary pump has failed, you probably won't notice until your basement floods. To let you know that your primary pump is not operating, the UltraSump® will sound an alarm during its operation. As an added feature, the UltraSump® is also able to be integrated with many home alarm systems. In this case, you'll receive a phone call -- giving you time to respond.

How Long Will It Run?

This is a tricky question, because a sump pump system turns on and off in cycles during normal operation. A battery backup system can use its charge in a single day or last for a week, depending on the water volume it's dealing with. However, our system is rated to pump more than 12,000 gallons of water -- an amount of water equal to the size of a small swimming pool!
